If the USA chant was made in my area against one of the high schools with a predominately asian student body most reasonable people would imply the motives were something other than spontaneous patriotism.

In what sense is a USA chant "against" a high school here? Are high schools like foreign embassies now?

You can be pro life, and still want food stamps, and the EITC.

The liberal left hates America.....sadly, they control education, and the MSM. The majority of Americans love their country. We have allowed acedemia, and the media to run roughshod over us.

But if they have their way, immigration panderers will reduce that majority.

And many of them look to "leaders" who tell them that the SW USA is still part of Mexico. People who came out of Mexican schools told me that there never was a Republic of Texas 1836-1845. Who knows what they teach in schools here.

In Arizona (until exposed) they were teaching that we stole this land from Mexico.

Is it now acceptable to be a proud American only in the presence of foreign nationals?

Perhaps you missed our FRiend jagusfr's post back up at #53:

The “rest of the story”: the kids from Edison were chanting, “Alamo Whites” before and during the game. Did Alamo Heights get an apology? Hell, no!
The students and team from Alamo Heights HS were being taunted by the Chicano and Mexican kids from the other school, for being guero (white). The Mexican kids were placing a negative value on Europeanness and belittling their opponents.

Who proceeded to embarrass them on the scoreboard, and then rub it in with the "USA!" chant.

Overall not a good scene, but I'd have to say under the circumstances the Edison students started it and asked for the verbal wedgie.

Under the circumstances, it sounds like the Edison kids were behaving like foreign nationals & got what they had coming.

Hadn't heard that one. Well, Santa Anna was embarrassed twice for believing the same thing, in 1836 and 1847, so I guess anyone else who wants some can just

COME AND TAKE IT!

We're here all the time. Whenever, y'all, just come on by.

What does San Antonio Edison have against the USA? Do they not consider themselves American?

And therein is the heart of the problem. They consider themselves Americans only to get our entitlement programs and other goodies from Uncle Sam. On virtually every other matter, their loyalties lie first and foremost with Mexico.

I've said it before and I'll say it again. Documentation is NOT the same as assimilation. The Edison students were more than likely Americans. In name only. To them, the United States is nothing but an unlimited ATM machine.

I am reminded again of what Calvin Coolidge said so eloquently in December 1923:

“American institutions rest solely on good citizenship. They were created by people who had a background of self-government. New arrivals should be limited to our capacity to absorb them into the ranks of good citizenship. America must be kept American. For this purpose it is necessary to continue a policy of restricted immigration. It would be well to make such immigration of a selective nature with some inspection at the source, and based either on a prior census or upon the record of naturalization. Either method would insure the admission of those with the largest capacity and best intention of becoming citizens. Those who do not want to be partakers of the American spirit ought not to settle in America.”

RE :”You can be pro life, and still want food stamps, and the EITC.

That is actually Catholic Church doctrine, to vote anti-abortion (and anti-contraception) and for anti-poverty programs; and there is a logical- moral rational thread to that combination whether you think it's valid or invalid.

For a church, maybe. For practical application, not so much.
We cant afford to support 20 million illegals, or even a big slice of them, and have them pay no taxes. Sooner or later, the dam breaks.

“Please tell me this is a joke.....even if it isn’t.”

Sadly, no, it is not a joke!

I called the Superintendent-Putz Dr. Kevin Brown at 210-824-2483.

I told him that the very idea of disciplining anyone for chanting USA at a sporting event was preposterous! I also advised him that were they my kids, they would suffer NO discipline at his hand.

Well, Santa Anna was embarrassed twice for believing the same thing, in 1836 and 1847

Santa Anna attacked a US force of 5,000 with his force of 16,000 at the Battle of Buena Vista (1847). The US has 746 casualties and missing, and Santa Anna had 3,727. Then Santa Anna declared victory and withdrew.

I had a truck break down near that site (12 miles south of Saltillo) one time. It was at night. I looked and saw what I thought were clouds, but they were really mountains, dramatically coming out of the ground.

In 2000 I thought that GWB's pro-life belief system would lead him to do the right thing always. What can I say? I was naive.

We all get suckered in life.

GWB I never trusted, primarily due to his “ New World Order”
father.

I speak spanish and portugese and was married once a long time ago to a Brasilian hellcat.

I think most latinos including even younger Cubans whose parents and grandparents woulda never thought like that have been brainwashed in the west and here of course into this mindset that the dominant higher percentage caucasian imperialists types like most Americans and richer latinos in their view are the fault of basically everything

to them it explains why a a mulatto Puerto Rican or Dominican might not be acccepted at the country club or as a son in law

or it explains why Indian peasants in all of latin America are still mostly peasants (or narcos) and still really short

and so on

the entire second and third worlds buys this notion that white western civilization destroyed all and it alleviates them of any responsibility and sets their place in line for our money and excuses their violence and poor behavior as a culture

it’s that simple...latinos vote Democrat to vote anti white in my opinion even if they are themselves partially or mostly DNA Caucazoid and Euro descended..it’s the “cut”...the dilution that in their mind qualifies them as a minority...hell Obama does this too

white trash wishes it had such ready made excuses and forgiveness
