When you look that closely at someone, you almost always develop sympathy for them, Rockwell says. It's like sitting next to someone for a long bus ride.
I want to think about who these people are and why they made the choices they did. I want to share the results of my thoughts, which are my paintings, with other people.
She was particularly inspired to paint bin Laden.
We take for granted who he was and what he did and why, and stop thinking of him as a human being with profoundly human motivations. The war on terror is quite bizarre, when you think about it, because it's a war on an emotion - fear. At least, that is what we are told. Instead of just being at war, we are trying to stamp out fear itself.

Norman Rockwell would be spinning in his grave.

Mentally ill. And devoid of talent, as well. Just as well—if she had any talent her mental illness about terrorism would be more damaging.

Without the famous relative, she'd be another unemployed nobody, just like George Clooney.

Only the pervert iconoclasts in the news media would feature the leftwing granddaughter of a beloved artist reknown for his dipictions of traditional America.
My hatred of them knows no bounds.

When you look that closely at someone, you almost always develop sympathy for them, Rockwell says.
That's because you are a coddled, spoiled, flighty dimbulb who has never learned that there is such a thing as evil. And when the suggestion presents itself to you, you develop a sort of Stockholm syndrome and make excuses for that evil in an effort to avoid recognizing it for what it is.
Oh, and you're a slut, too.

Are we sure that she is Norman Rockwell's Granddaughter, and not the Granddaughter of George Lincoln Rockwell instead?

Thanks for definition 3 of that word, throttled.
Never knew that definition, what a great add to my vocab!
Thanks!

We are supposed to think that those who wish America ill are motivated by evil and to not think any further than that, says Rockwell. (But America) has spent quite a bit of time meddling in the affairs of other countries. Whether we like it or not, there are plenty of reasons out there for people to wish us ill as a country. American born traitor, "Axis Sally", said basically the same thing when she was broadcasting from Hitler's NAZI Germany.
She is a vile person.

Those terrorists Daisy Rockwell paints would deny young Miss Rockwell her right to wear revealing clothing, sell her as a wife who is treated worse then cattle, genitally mutilate her in order to deny her of any sexual pleasure and prohibit all of her reproductive rights.
I am sure these terrorists will most certainly develop sympathy for Miss Rockwell while denying her her most basic feminine rights.

Rockwell has traveled extensively and holds a doctorate in South Asian literature, which she says, in retrospect, may have been her way of escaping the legacy of her family name. What was there to "ESCAPE" from? it wasn't like trying to get out of East Germany or off of Cuba or some other Communist hellhole. Or inheriting the name Hitler, Rosenberg, or Stalin.
She claims to have used a pseudonym. Well coming out from under it and going to Time-Lies-CNN-Warner is just falling back on grandpappy's coattail.
