Too Little, Too Late for Rush Limbaugh? Republican Allies and Advertisers Continue To Desert Host Despite Apology
Conservative radio host slammed Georgetown University's Sandra Fluke Seven advertisers responded by dropping their ads on his show

Newt Gingrich was the latest Republican presidential candidate to distance himself from the controversial radio commentator Rush Limbaugh following his tirade against a law student that he deemed a 'slut'. Appearing on a Sunday morning news program, Mr Gingrich said that it was 'silly' to suggest that Mr Limbaugh speaks on behalf of the entire Republican party, and that he glad that Mr Limbaugh issued an apology to Sandra Fluke, the woman at the heart of the debate.
Following her appearance at a hearing in support of President Obama's quest to have all employers pay for birth control through health insurance policies, Mr Limbaugh called the 30-year-old Ms Fluke a 'prostitute' and suggested that she could make enough money to pay for her birth control by posting videos of herself having sex online.
Cardinal Timothy Dolan, Archbishop of New York and a fierce opponent of Mr Obama's policy, criticised Mr Limbaugh's pugnacious comments and said: 'Whatever we do, and however strongly we feel, we do it charitably, we do it civilly.'

You are remembering the censure letter that Harry Reid wrote to Rush’s boss. Rush auctioned it off on Ebay. Took in a million; the letter was won by a woman, can’t think of her name. There was some sort of ceremoney where Rush handed over the letter.
“Rush needs to stop apologizing and trust his audience. Rush has too many supporters that won’t allow him to be driven off the air.”
When was Rush apologizing?

Remember when Rush single-handedly MADE Snapple; then the original owners sold to (IIRC) Carnation. Some genius there decided advertising on Rush’s show was too controversial for their corporation, so stopped the ads. Snapple never recovered its market share.
That was Harry Reid’s letter to Clear Channel about the Phoney Soldier. They gave it to him, he auctioned it off for 2 or 3 million and then he matched that amount and gave it to his favorite charity... Law enforcement and Soldier or similar organization.

I applaud Limbaugh and rail against those that use politically correct speech—it IS the weapon the left uses against Americans.

One thing I do tell turncoat advertisers is that not only will I not buy their products, but I will tell everyone I know to avoid them at all costs. I just say I don’t like the company.
Too bad, I was about to purchase another Sleep Number bed.
Mr Limbaugh gave away a perfectly valid 1st amendment argument to pursue a crude and ever increasingly strident rant about sex. Normally he is able to use a combination of satire and humor to illustrate the absurdity of actions he disagrees with. In this case, however, he seemed to develop a personal animus toward this young woman and by the end of the third hour on Friday, he had clearly crossed the line of decent discourse.

What I’d like for him to do is to read off a list of the advertisers who dropped him, or who threatened to to drop him. Shine a light on them so that they can be ‘rewarded’ for their behavior. They surely can’t object to being identified, can they?
Inquiring minds want to know.
It depends on who is controlling this situation. You know who took Clear Channel public, right? Mitt Romney and Bain Capital.
Do you think that the Republican money behind Romney would hesitate a moment to dump Rush completely if he was seen as screwing up the election for them? Not a chance in H-e-double hockey sticks.
This “young women” was a thirty something radical using a very sensitive subject to cow her opposition and to promote a leftist agenda in a circus put on by progs.
My heart bleeds for her.
He didn’t call her a slut for her stand on obamacare, but because she is a slut—she sells her body for money, period...

I suggest we all contact these advertisers and ask what they will be willing to donate from every order they receive to help pay for Fluke’s birth control measures.
