Fox in the Tank
Former Farmer

Posted on 03/04/2012 6:28:17 PM PST by Former Farmer

Mike Huckabee started his political forum on Jobs with a small businessman from St. Louis asking Newt Gingrich how he would help small businesses. Newt gave a straightforward answer. The burly man then repeated the question. He seemed a little belligerent, but I figured maybe that was just his temperment.

Then Mitt Romney came on. The opening question came from the same small business owner. This time, he told about how his son suffered a traumatic injury while serving in Iraq. (Huckabee at this point showed a photo of the man with his arm abound his son in uniform.) The man then complained to Romney that Obama had cut the benefits of this wounded warrior. By the time he got to the question, the man had his face all drawn and tears visible sliding down his cheeks. The question came out as something like, "You wouldn't do that, would you?" Romney comforted the man, calling him "Sarge."

The situation set up Romney to show that he had a heart. This addressed a major objection to Romney: he is seen as cold.

I used to like Fox News, but this cycle they are so far in the tank for Romney their reporters will soon have to wear snorkels.

I walked into the room where the wife was watching Fox, and saw Romney-the-RINO babbling.....I walked back out and went back to the computer.

Fox News? What is Fox News? Oh, wasn’t it once a conservative news channel that has gone the way of progressives? Don’t watch any more. They all make me sick since Brent Hume left. None of them do anything or say anything I like or agree with. Too many Gee-raldos.

There is only one way to stop Willard the Lib. And EVERYONE knows it.

A Gingrich-Santorum Alliance..

Could a deal be in the making between Santorum and Gingrich to deny Romney the nomination?

Almost all polls show that Newt Gingrich and Rick Santorum are chasing after the same conservative GOP primary voters. Mr. Santorum may not be able to beat front-runner Mitt Romney with Mr. Gingrich in the race, but in a two-man contest his prospects improve markedly. Could a deal be in the making between Messrs. Santorum and Gingrich to deny Mr. Romney the nomination?

It’s too early to count out the former House speaker, but even Mr. Gingrich acknowledges that he has to win Georgia and probably one or two other southern states to carry on. Super Tuesday could be his last hoorah. If Mr. Gingrich drops out, he will almost certainly throw his support behind Mr. Santorum. The two are friendly from the days when they served in the House together. More importantly, there is no love lost between Mr. Romney and Mr. Gingrich, who maintains that Mr. Romney’s political attacks on him crossed a line.

When I ask a senior Santorum adviser about an alliance, he whispers that Mr. Santorum’s odds go way up with Mr. Gingrich out. But he also emphasizes that Mr. Santorum has avoided asking the former speaker to quit the race.

I used to respect Brit Hume, but he is now on air ad nauseum pushing for Romney.

Oh man, talk about phonying the “news” up for Romney!

Gingrich has every right to be P.O.ed about this.

If every Christian in America would simply turn off their televisions, and then keep them off, we would be one giant step towards saving the country.

Fortunately it was so blatant that any audience that still has a brain cell left will be P.O.ed too. Fairly unbalanced?

This is same Huckleberry Hound who said Mitt Romney was a lying SOB just four short years ago. Someone should remind Huckleberry about that ad. Show it to him. I despise hypocrites. Huckbleberry said Romney would say and do anything to get elected and has no core convictions.

That might make the most sense. Whose ego will yield, though? The Newt’s? Or the Rooster’s? Someone has to be veep in this pair.

I don’t really know about Brent — but Brit Hume is about the most disgusting Rombot of all on Fok News. And Brit’s quickly approaching the essence of Karl Roveness slobbering/tingling over Willard Romney.

You have to be kidding. For weeks, you have been bashing

Speaker Gingrich. Newt is not getting out. He is working his

way to the convention. Newt is stronger than all others.

Huck is definitely with most of FOX news being "in the tank" for Romney.

I watch very little FOX news these days because of things like this, and Coulter and other romneybots using the various shows as extended political commercials for romney.

And A-holes like Chris Wallace are clearly CNN-grade attack dogs when it comes to anyone he interviews. His nasal twang gets on my nerves and it would be a please to see someone slap the sh** out of him.

Fox is not conservative; they accommodate the moderates now.

The Huckabee forum was a commercial campaign ad for Romney; to show him as likable
