7th advertiser pulls out of Limbaugh's show (vanity question How long have you listened to Rush?)

NEW YORK (AP) - A flower company is the 7th advertiser in recent days to say it is pulling ads from conservative talk show host Rush Limbaugh's radio program. ProFlowers says on its Facebook page that it has suspended advertising on Limbaugh's program because his comments about Georgetown University law student Sandra Fluke "went beyond political discourse to a personal attack and do not reflect our values as a company."

On Christmas December 25, 1988 my son told me that "he had been listening to a guy on radio that said the same things I did."

My starting date with Rush was early January, 1989. My son is a smart man.

Tyson, I am quick to forgive but I have a long memory.

About a year ago I made the mistake of going grocery shopping when I was hungry. I was hurried shopping and purchased of one bag of a Tyson product, the first since mid year 1991. Of course there have been no further purchases.

These advertisers are only hurting themselves. Rush has a Huge audience nationwide and over the net. They’re losing millions of potential customers who will continue to listen to Rush, regardless.

I agree, and I'll still be listening to Rush as usual.

I will be VERY interested in learning who Rush's new sponsors are so I can support them!

Also tell them that if we have to indirectly pay for others birth control, then we won’t have extra $$$ to pay for frills such as flowers.

Good point! ProFlowers are awfully expensive, too. I use them once or twice a year to send flowers, usually to my mother-in-law.

You start looking at the "least expensive" bouquets that start at around $19.00 or $24.99. Next thing you know, you check out, and with all of the shipping and handling, etc. fees, your order is over $50.00.

I agree with you. Someone up thread did the math and at $1000/year, with condoms $1.00 a piece at Walmart (so I’m told), she’d be using over 2 1/2 condoms a day!

I have two comments for that...One, when would she have time for her studies? and two, what guy would want to wear only half a condom?!

Never used ProFlowers even when they were with Rush.

I used them once for Valentines Day a number of years ago. Roses showed up half-dead, box was crushed, and roses were completely dead within 2 days of arrival.

Personally I recommend anyone BUT "ProFlows.Com"

I will never forget the day I first heard that golden voice. It was the day after Billy Jeff was elected (the first time). I had spent election night with relatives in Florida who didn’t have a tv & I knew who had won, but wanted to find out who won my state (Texas).

Got in the rental car & turned on the radio & started scanning stations & there he was. The moment I heard him, I just knew.

Before that he did some sports, and he was a DJ.
