This is for everyone, but particularly for Freepers in Virginia where Tim Kaine is running for the Senate.
(Please observe my sarcasm.)
There is a website, kaineforva.com , that targets Rush Limbaugh and offers a petition demanding that Limbaugh apologizes to Sandra Fluke for his description of her. Which, we all know he has done (being the gentleman that he is, unlike Liberal/Democrat media commentators and journalists who spewed vile slang terms when they referred to Palin and Ingram). We have yet to hear those Liberals apologize, but I digress.
On the site, it is the claim that Limbaugh (on behalf of Republicans) is attacking a womans right to make her own health decisions. What a twisted statement of hype, nonsense, and lies.
First - No one is denying women any rights to any decisions! How can anyone deny anyone the right to decide anything? Sandra Fluke and every other woman in this country can still, and always will be able to, decide for themselves if they want to have sex or not.
Second Having sex, per se, is not a health issue! The only issue in this trumped up argument that is related to health is the need to use a condom to protect from STDs. Frankly, this applies to both men and women. And it applies to them whether engaged in heterosexual or homosexual activities. Protected (i.e. Safe) sex, then, is not just a Womans health issue...has Fluke forgotten that?
Fluke, in her ardor to make a ridiculous argument sound logical (as an aspiring lawyer is often assigned to do as a matter of practice) for women to receive free contraceptives, has ignored the rights of men, LOL.
Why isnt she pushing for equal concerns for men to be given condoms paid for by the government ...and specifically, homosexual men? Where is the furor from the gay men who have been noticeably excluded from Flukes demands? After all, their sexual encounters have already proved risky for their health as they have a high incident of exposure to and contract of sexually transmitted diseases, specifically AIDS!
So where, in all the hype and political correctness of Fluke and Left-wingers have we heard the plea for free condoms to protect the health of men who also make choices about having sex? Nowhere, LOL. The left has just shot themselves in the foot. By championing Flukes case for women, they have openly ignored men, and importantly to the gay community. Arent Liberals all about being fair, and treating everyone equally? Obviously, Fluke has not been fair to men, of either sexual persuasion and is not treating their health concerns equally! Could it be any more laughably ironic?
Third Where do they find these people who write these comments that they put forth and appear on the Internet or in the media? I assume they get these staffers from college, and they either are paid, or serving an unpaid internship. Either way, in the case of the TimKaneforvagov.com website, their ineptness at proper sentence structure obvious. Below is an example:
...then Limbaugh called Fluke a prostitute for speaking out for a womans right to health care that covers contraception during a congressional hearing. Just read that sentence.
I dont know about you, but I didnt know that women wanted to practice sex in front of Congress! Yet, here, on this webpage, they write...health care that covers contraception during a congressional hearing. I cant stop laughing. This is just another sad reminder of how incompetent the Democrat staffers are at communicating and writing. We already know that they cant spell. Did Kaine borrow Obamas writers who referred to Road Island?
Frankly, I would be very skeptical of any candidate who can't even hire intelligent writers and whose staff members have such poor skills and offer up unfounded rhetoric that is easy to debunk. It speaks to the candidates own judgment and ineptness. Of course, look at who we have in the White House and how inept his staff members have proved they are.
What they really want is for taxpayers to pay not only for their contraceptives but abortions also, right?
Yo! That's the 800 pound gorilla that is being largely ignored. It's contraceptives AND abortion that are at issue.
“Women’s health” = abortion.
