Three advertisers on Rush Limbaughs popular radio show Friday announced that they are pulling their ads, and other companies are expressing concern over customer outrage in the wake of the conservative hosts controversial slut comments this week.
We dont condone negative comments directed toward any group. In response, we are currently pulling our ads from Rush with Rush Limbaugh, the company Sleep Train Mattress Centers announced on its Twitter account early Friday.
The company began tweeting at some of its followers starting around midnight, telling multiple Twitter users, Thank you for your concern. We are currently pulling all of our ads with Rush Limbaugh.
All of the companys tweets announcing its decision met grateful responses from the Twitter world.
I have to buy a frame this weekend. Now I know where to go. Thank you for refusing to support Rushs hatred, @djimenez9 tweeted.
Thank you @theSleepTrain for not supporting misogyny. Youre a good egg, said @FlightyWendy.

Exactly! ... and I can’t believe he didn’t see that. I guess his bank account is more important than his principles, because I can’t imagine he’s actually sorry for what he said.
RE: Backup.
Well, since Rush is a big Mac fan, I’m surprised he never mentioned it... but the Mac OS has a built-in automatic backup feature called “time machine,” which backs up every hour and seems to keep daily backups forever. All you need to do is hook up an external drive and turn it on.
I guess one of those services is good if you want to keep your data off-site, but, personally, I wouldn’t trust my data with ANYONE I don’t know.
On top of externals, I do periodic archive/burn days. After something has been around X amount of time it either gets burned or killed. I need to get a Blu Ray burner though. I have so many CD and DVD in storage it isn’t funny.
When I can get around to it, I would like to go through the stuff I’ve burned and slim it down to Blu Ray discs.
Biblically, the female is listed as a whore and the male as a whoremonger and so it is. The left is filled with both to the brim and overflowing.
I’ve bookmarked that one for when the budget can stand it.
I’ve been a Carbonite subscriber for some years now. Last January, my laptop slowed down to molasses speed. I went to Best Buy to buy a new one. Part of the deal was that they would throw in a free hard drive-to-hard drive transfer. When I got home, I found that only about half of my priceless photos had transferred. I called Carbonite and they had restored everything in about 36 hours. I would not be without it. I learned about Carbonite from Rush. I’m sorry he apologized to that skank.
They can’t arrest us all but would probably try to perforate as many as possible with lead and being non-compliant tax protesters would be their excuse for what they want to do anyway.
I stay away from BB from a technical or break(they do really well)/fix (good luck) standpoint and encourage others to do so. I fix other people’s stuff from time to time and data copy and move is a big part of that. I may take a little longer but I rarely get a question and almost never a complaint after all said and done.
LOL! ... and she's got "man hands". Scary!
My email to Carbonite:
“I am a small vendor in the business of providing IT support and services to other small businesses. Thanks for helping me to make my decision of whether or not to use Carbonite either personally or as a recommendation to my customers. Because of your withdrawal of support for Rush Limbaugh, I will not be using or recommending the use of your service to my customers. If at some future time you resume advertising on Mr. Limbaugh’s program I will reconsider my decision 6 months after your resumption of advertising.”
“I don’t think I’d (we’d) be devastated for that long if a “if a fire took the house,”

Fire DID take my house around 1989, and everything in it
except for my wife and daughter.
It is a very devastating event, and would probably be the same for you. In my case, there was no insurance.
This was pre-internet, and my 8080 computer was little more then a novelty then, but today there is just so much of our life on the computer...data, photos, records, etc.
This is why off site backup is important, and well worth the small cost.
All of the on-site backup in the world is worthless
if that site is destroyed or ripped off.
I love Rush. I’ll defend Rush. I will NEVER understand why he put all of the forces of his influence behind Santorum and not Newt Gingrich.
The only down side is that it’s a little on the large side (about the size of a small toaster). I have an iMAc and I use the ioSafe with Time Machine for automatic backups of all my important photos and documents.
No monthly fees, no bandwidth use.
FWIW I just emailed them letting them know I will not be subscribing. Just last week Mrs p6 and I were talking about it but not now. Not ever.
It is less expensive than carbonite at least for the business level backups.
I am a reseller of Carbonite - but that will be changing. I have already contacted idrive to sign on as a reseller of that product and I will be changing over existing customers. I have turned off the automatic renewals of Carbonite as well. If you currently use carbonite you MUST disable the automatic renewal feature.
I’m stuck with a Sleep Number bed that I’ve never liked, Carbonite was more trouble than it was worth when the computer crashed, and Quicken Loans I have no experience with, but the name sounds trashy.
Viva la’ Rush!
We need to start tracking adverertisers on MSNBC, ABC CBS and start boycotts..
What those advertisers are really saying is that they had a contract to buy advertising but their products suck and no one is buying them so they are using this as an excuse to get out of that contract. Goo, because none of those products are any good in the first place. Carbonite is an expensive joke. Sleep Number beds are expensive and suck. Quicken Loans is a nothing but a criminal enterprise. Those three companies are certainly not companies I do business with.
Their excuse is REALLY weak and an obvious shame.
“well-intentioned young lady.”
Anyone claiming the rest of us should buy their sexual entertainment products is not well intentioned. They are Communists. And young? She is 30 years old and should be adult enough to be able to buy her own products.
