Citrix drops Rush sponsorship

Over the past day, we’ve heard from many great Citrix customers about our advertising on The Rush Limbaugh Show. These customers have expressed their growing concern that some of his recent comments seem inconsistent with the core values Citrix has always stood for – humility, integrity and respect.

While Citrix obviously does not control any show’s content or endorse opinions of their hosts, we do take the concerns of our customers seriously. When they are upset about something, we listen. After careful consideration, we have decided to discontinue our advertising on The Rush Limbaugh Show.

Rush has always doubled his audience during times and “controversy” like this. Select Comfort, and Citrix gained huge customer support from Rush listeners.

Wow, with all the nasty comments I’ve read on these threads about the charlatan companies advertising on Rush, it looks like their withdraw from the show will only enhance Rush’s reputation.

All of the hysterical hubbub generated by this phony issue has been a massive boost to the visibility of Rush’s show and couldn’t be equaled by millions of dollars of paid advertisement.

The temporary loss of a few minor advertisers pales in significance to the increase in overall awareness of his show, especially among those conservatives that don’t usually think much about it.

Even the rabid Left has been drawn into discussing Rush and his opinions, as evil as they might think they are. They won’t admit it, but even they were lurking in his listening audience in large numbers, ginning up their faux outrage, while “the Slut” was the topic the past few days.

I use GoToMyPC every day. Is there an alternative application I can subscribe to?

TeamViewer. It's free for personal use, very reasonable for commercial use.

It also seems to be leaner and faster than GoToMyPC, less of a drain on system resources.

These companies like to use the terms "humility, respect and integrity" when explaining why they are dropping their ads from a particular show. In this case, where is Fluke's humility, respect and integrity? In my opinion, they chose to turn their back on integrity, and instead decided to respect the slut.

I like Hannity, but he has never been and will never be AS effective as Rush is at combating leftie lunacy and idiocy. And Hannity, if aware of that scenario, doesn’t seem to care....which make me lose some respect I had for him previously.
