after a long heart&soul conversation with MittRomney today I concluded this goodman will properly represent we the people & I endorsed him
Perhaps Uncle Ted had decided to start doing drugs after all.
“Whereas Santorum would like to use it to force his ideals on morality on us.”
To say that Santorum wants to “force his ideals” on anyone is prosaic, melodramatic and emotional nonsense - spread by the left in order to mitigate Santorum and protect their dream candidate socialist Romney.
It’s like saying Santorum doing what he can to stop babies from infanticide is “forcing his ideals” on poor people. What we strive to do EVERY DAY AS CONSERVATIVES is force ideals - the ideals of our FOUNDING FATHERS expatiated in the Declaration, in the Constitution and all the way back to the Mayflower Compact.
THOSE are the ideals that Santorum AND Newt are tying to force? Hell yes. And the day we stop is the day America is most certainly dead.
Gerald Celente said it not long ago: (slightly paraphrased)- “The people of that generation are either bought out, have sold out, or are down and out. They don’t have the fight anymore. Therefore it’s the younger folks who we’ll depend on to get the job done”.
So it seems that Ted has either been bought out, sold out, or is down and out.
Thanks a lot Mr. Nugent. Enjoy your thirty pieces of silver.
WTF, over?....
I think I’ve got reception problems on this line. 10-9....please repeat....did you just say that Uncle Ted endorsed Mitt freaking Romney for president???? (static...interference...)
Likewise. I've never been a fan of rock music since Southern Gospel and traditional country are my favorites. There are just too many atheists in that genre. Ted Nugent is an exception since I understand he's a committed Christian and eschews drugs.
People keep saying this one or that one can beat Obama. I keep thinking that a real leader would not need to bend to what people already think. If one truly has confidence that their side of the argument is the correct one, isn’t it the role of a true leader to CONVINCE the people of the validity of the positions taken, rather than to try to follow the people? Newt is the only one that has made really clear and understandable arguments and that seems what a leader needs to do, ie: “lead.”
Nuge finally drank the Kool Aid. Hard to believe.
Undoing it isn't bad no. Reversing it as opposed to undoing it, yes just as bad.
Example: If the Dr. Pepper drinkers are told by the government that they must drink Pepsi, the solution is to just repeal the law. However, there will be some Pepsi drinkers who'll want to simply reverse the law and force everyone to drink Pepsi. It's just as wrong.
Government can only compel the citizenry by force, and force should always be kept to a minimum. There are times when it is legitimate to codify moral positions complete with punitive measures enforced by the state, but there are times when it is not.
Not under this system of government, or really any Western system. Winston Churchill is the perfect example. He saw the smoke on the horizon, but couldn't convince enough British citizens to keep him in office so he was replaced. Now, once the fires and not just the smoke were visible on the horizon, they brought him back. Which is the way it is in any democratic (not democracy) system whether it's a USA style republic or a constitutional parliamentary system.
To do otherwise would to violate the most sacred of principals that our founders gave voice to often with the powerful phrase, "The consent of the governed"
To use one of his own songs...Ted ‘RINO’ Nugent can ‘KISS MY ASS’.
Ted, you’re Dismissed.
BTTT
:)
“The world is spinning off its axis!”
From what I’ve seen through the years is...it’s been off it’s axis for some time now.
Yes. And consent is earned through well-reasoned argument. People come to their decisions based on listening to the various sides and then referencing those with their own common sense, basic belief systems, and reason. So there the citizens are and there are various paths that can be taken and the arguments as to what is better are made, each individual chooses and we add up to see who made the better, more convincing case. The leader part I was talking about was the ability to make the case for the right action rather than to just go with the wind.
Jeesh, just look at his record as governor and tell me just where he was a conservative will you please? I await your reply.
I’ve never been a fan, I guess I’m the only one not bothered by this.
Tzar- He might crack down on victimless crimes like incest, kiddie porn, cannibalism and organ trafficking! We can’t let dangerous radicals like him into positions of power.
