The ongoing debate over birth control took a particularly nasty turn recently when conservative radio host Rush Limbaugh called Georgetown law student Sandra Fluke a slut and prostitute for speaking out about the issue.
Fluke, a birth control activist, spoke with TODAYs Matt Lauer about Limbaughs comments and the failure of a GOP-sponsored amendment that would have allowed employers at religious institutions to opt out of providing contraception in health plans.

Obama and birth control..just getting things in order for his daughters..
And just as we students have faced financial, emotional, and medical burdens as a result,
We are all grateful for the new regulation that will meet the critical health care needs of so many women.
Without insurance coverage, contraception, as you know, can cost a woman over $3,000 during law school. For a lot of students who, like me, are on public interest scholarships, thats practically an entire summers salary.
She adds herself to the debate, she makes herself part of the argument. You can play word games but at the end of the day, she's still a slut.
Just reported that she received a PERSONAL call from Obongo congratulation her for “standing tall.”
So, let me get this straight ...she goes to Georgetown, a $50K per year school, in one of the most expensive cities in the nation ... yet she can’t afford her BCP?
Maybe she needs to downgrade to a regular state university.
Oh, no — not good enough. Need to go to the most ELITE school, and yet beg from taxpayers to fund her sexual activity? Really?
The dreaded double secret probation. Yikes!
“And SHE’S the one buying all the contraception (even if she wishes it were taxpayer paid)! Wow she’s easy.”
If the condems fit, you can’t ACQUIT!
Talk about a deer in the headlights, honey you better stick to your day job becaue you would scare awaty the clients acting the part of a slut.
I don’t know what this stupid young woman is whining about. That face of hers is the best birth control device I’ve ever seen.
But, even real prostitutes don’t typically do it more than about once an hour in an eight hour working day/night.
If the boyfriends were all buying them from truck stop bathroom vending machines that would bump the numbers up (oh stop it).
Maybe this includes the cost of paternity lawsuits???
.........................Shes just practicing for when she becomes a lawyer by screwing everything in sight...................
Beautiful!!!
Well maybe. She tossed in enough weasel words to hint that she might just be an onlooker. But still... this is dirty minded of her. And petty too.
How can she stand tall when she's on her back all the time?
She's had most of Gaul, by the sound of it.
Sorry, I don't normally spelling police, but just couldn't resist that joke.
And even googling some unelucidated claim doesn’t excuse research that would take maybe an hour. Cost of the Pill. (Call up Walgreens and ask.) Cost of the Condom. (Ditto.) Not rocket science.
Oh gosh, the sex innuendos go on and on. She’s got a lot of “jimmies” doing that for her based on any reasonable math.
Ahhh...Friday on Free Republic...
Ya gotta love this....They give us SOOOOO much to work with, them there libs...
We go from Fluke to Lewinsky to Johnny Wadd Holmes without batting an eye!!!!!
LOL!
She brought it on herself. She’s a known activist (oh boy, is she EVER “active”), she made it a point to go public (or is it “pubic?”) and when she got called on it (does that make her a “call girl?”) she plays the wounded victim.
Boo-frigging-hoo.
What a bimbo....
Women having ‘control’ of their own bodies is the issue that opens dem wallets the fastest.
Anyone surprised this is being talked about?
When does she have time to stand? Then again, maybe she is too sore to sit.
Nor I. It's gutter-talk. I'm surprised at Rush and this thread is a horrible representation of Free Republic.
