Sandra Fluke is a law student at Georgetown University, a Catholic institution. She fancies herself as an expert on birth control. She wants free birth control. Now. When House Republicans would not let her testify as an expert on birth control, Democrats paraded her out and she received unabashedly favorable publicity. The Washington press loves these liberal dog-and-pony shows.
From ABC:
Flukes prepared testimony included details of fellow female students at Georgetown University whod been denied contraceptive coverage because of the universitys Catholic affiliation. Fluke said that one of her friends experienced complications stemming from ovarian cysts that could have been treated with birth control pills, and doctors were forced to remove her ovary.
Fluke, who is in her third year of law school, testified that Georgetown did not cover contraception on its health plan, which she said could cost as much as $3,000 during a students law school career.
I felt not insulted for myself but for the women I wanted to represent, women who were silenced, Fluke said.
So not only do you have a right to free birth control, but a right to testify at whatever congressional hearing you want.
Math class is tough, but let us do the math. A months supply of The Pill can cost up to $50 a month, according to CBS.
Over a three-year period, that would be $1,800.
She would pay $3,000 to get $1,800 worth of goods. This is why I think she is stupid.

HMMM red ribbons for AIDS awareness, yellow ribbons to show support for our troops, pink ribbons for breast cancer awareness, puzzle pieces ribbons for autism awareness, what color ribbons for STUPID awareness?
That's like saying the Pope is affiliated with the Catholic Church.
The Bottom Line: Georgetown University is part of the Catholic Church. When they sell it, it won't be. Until then, it is.
I have no problem telling this student if she doesn't like where she's at, then go to a different school. It's not like there's a shortage of schools in the US.
Just goes to show you that lawyers learn to lie early in their careers. Not even an attorney yet and already making up stories with unsupportable facts. I’ll bet she would have had a good future working with John Edwards back in the old days when he bilked insurance companies out of millions.
As a side note, I’ll bet she makes her parents proud......
They have to drink a lot before she begins to look good.
Hmmmmmmmmmmmmmm

I’m 63...
Thats 63 years of doing stuff in private in the bathroom...
But I doubt if I’m going to be asked to be the keynote speaker at any internal medicine conference ...
I should offer though shouldnt I ???
After all I have years of experience...
My vote was originally that she was just a democrat tool. Or literally a ho. I'm now leaning towards plain stupidity.
Sandra looks like she should be using Viagra.
A thousand dollars a year to have sex? I’m a guy and when I was single, I paid a lot more: car money, dinner money, gift money. I can assure you, I would have been more than happy to only pay a thousand a year.
So, she wants someone else to pay for The Pill, which would amount to compensation of a sort.
Looks to me like she’s trying to make the transition from slut to whore. Fitting that she’s a law student...
I think this is appropriate here - from Alinsky's Rules for Radicals
The organizer's first job is to create the issues or problems, and organizations must be based on many issues. The organizer must first rub raw the resentments of the people of the community; fan the latent hostilities of many of the people to the point of overt expression. He must search out controversy and issues, rather than avoid them, for unless there is controversy people are not concerned enough to act. . . . An organizer must stir up dissatisfaction and discontent.
Exercise a little moral restraint and the “problem” is solved. Morality! It works!
Was there ever a smart slut?
You can't be aware of stupid, by definition.
Truth. The definition of the controversial 4 letter word in question simply means “a sexually unchaste woman.” If she wants people to stop calling her that, she just needs to prove she’s sexually chaste.
I’m willing to bet money that the story about the woman with the cyst is an outright lie.
Catholic institutions allow the use of the pill when it is used for medicinal purposes.
Every law school in the country is teeming with this kind of ideological zealot. The reason they’re in law school is to learn to force us to conform to the feminist whim.
Every law school, notoriously Georgetown, recruits, encourages and panders to this set.
This has been going on for over four decades.
The faculties are even worse than the student bodies.
Yup, likely an exaggeration
