WASHINGTON, April 20 — Democrats running for Congress are moving quickly to use the most recent surge in oil and gasoline prices to bash Republicans over energy policy, and more broadly, the direction of the country. With oil prices hitting a high this week and prices at the pump topping $3 a gallon in many places, Amy Klobuchar, a Democratic Senate candidate in Minnesota, is making the issue the centerpiece of her campaign. Ms. Klobuchar says it "is one of the first things people bring up" at her campaign stops.

To varying degrees, Democrats around the country are following a similar script ....

Oil production has dropped 11% on Federally controlled lands since 0bowMao took office. The lands he has control over.

Credit for knowing that goes to Newt Gingrich.

If we had unbiased media this could work for Republicans, but since the media is what it is, the reps will get hammered if they broach the gasoline price issue.

Obama owns the gas price, he bought it when he stopped Keystone.

They are in charge and hold all the cards and will publically blame the GOP and the GOP will sit quietly and take it while the lemmings will eat it all up. When Newt says we need to crush them, WE NEED TO CRUSH THEM

And so much more...

What they are doing just isn't going to get any clearer, America. It's not like it's a big secret.

The 0bama-Democrat-RINO (Progressive) "No Domestic Energy Policy!"

All of that puts the U.S. in a position that war for oil or
complete economic collapse will be our only choices.
You can't frustrate every source of domestic energy
without consequences. Our enemies will blackmail us
to the extent that we are vulnerable to blackmail.

0bama, the Democrats and RINOs are leading us into a real war for oil.
A war we won't have the energy to fight.
A war we don't need to fight because we have our own resources.

It Begins… First Oil Rig Relocates From Gulf to Foreign Waters

I was a young single working woman in the 1970’s and well remember lines at gas stations. On August 4, 1977 Jimmy Carter signed into law the Department of Energy Act. The supposed idea was to create a policy to make us less energy dependent upon foreign oil. Since then it has gone downhill. We are every bit as dependent upon foreign oil while placing roadblocks in the path of the oil and gas companies. Thirty-four years later it’s clear that the creation of the Department of Energy was truly an attempt to appease the environmentalists while severely harming the American people. Obama clearly has no energy policy. The rhetoric has returned that it would take too long to explore and drill. Same thing was said during the Clinton Administration. Obama’s put a lot of Federal land off the table as well as most offshore and the Gulf of Mexico. It’s still not working, so let’s dissolve the Dept. of Energy and go after our own resources. Just remember that the oil spill in the Gulf would have been more manageable in more shallow water which make more sense!

I think this is going to be a hard sell for Democrats.

Convincing people who are paying $4.00 dollars a gallon for gasoline that the administration that has been in power for 31/2 years is going to be tough. Even dumb-assed democrats will have a hard time believing that.

What does money printing have to do with keeping Federal lands off limits to oil exploration?

If conservatives let the lying Dem scumbags pin the oil shortage on them, they deserve to lose the election. It’s that simple.

More money in circulation means more money chasing limited supply of oil. Federal land off limit to oil exploration only effect future prices, but not current prices. It take years from exploration, development to supply. 3.5 years of Obama era is not nearly enough to effect the prices in a major way, maybe a little bit from speculation of diminishing supply for the future. Majority of the price movement is due to money printing and previous Bush/Clinton era of limiting supply
