Suspicous package shuts down part of Terminal One at SFO
SAN FRANCISCO A suspicious package found during a security screening at the San Francisco International Airport shut down part of Terminal One early Friday afternoon.
At around 11:30 a.m., federal security agents spotted a suspicious package going through an x-ray machine in the screening lines.
All passengers at Delta's Boarding Area C in Terminal One have been stopped at security.
SFO officials said some flights have been affected.
KTVU has a crew on the way and will report more details as they become available.
The package went through one of the X-Ray machines, airport spokesman, Mike McCarron explained. The operator didnt like what they saw as far as what was inside the package, asked for assistance, and it was very suspicious. There was no word when the closure would be lifted. McCarron did point out that it was typically a slower time of the day at the airport, and passengers were being routed to other gates and checkpoints.
I can see this thread derailing quite easily.
:^)
Maybe it was just algae seeds for a new SF Bay Area refinery.
That must be one VERY large package...
gerbils are on the no fly list
All right . . .now that’s funny. Sick, but funny, none the less.
ALL CLEAR per updated story at original link.
