If there is any concern with public health, then let it be understood that male homosexuals are the #1 vector for the spread of infectious diseases among humans and are an unnecessary public health threat costing the system billions. Simpson, Dole, McCain, Lugar, and many other old time Republicans began their congressional career at a time when “go along to get along” was the guiding rule. Most of their time was spent in the minority and they became comfortable and prospered in that role. They developed a loyalty to the institution rather than to the people who elected them. Those republicans like Gingrich, Santorum, DeMint, Coburn, and a few others who dare to play by a different set of rules are a greater threat to their existence than is any democrat.
