Phoenix (CNN) Joe Arpaio, the sheriff of Maricopa County, Arizona, briefed GOP contender Rick Santorum on his investigation into President Barack Obama's birth certificate, the controversial law enforcement official told reporters Tuesday.
After a speech to a Republican gathering in Phoenix where Santorum appeared earlier in the day, Arpaio explained he wanted to inform the candidate of his investigation "as a matter of fairness in case he wouldn't want me to support him."
Arpaio said he plans to endorse one of the four remaining GOP candidates in the coming weeks. But the sheriff added he would not make his choice known before he announces the findings of his birth certificate probe at a news conference set for March 1st. This endorsement would be his second in the race; in November 2011, he endorsed then-candidate Rick Perry.

These days, an upper-echelon law enforcement official actually enforcing immigration law is "controversial".
The sheriff will release in about a week. I'm prepared for something totally off the wall. This is the first real vetting. Our heads may spin.
I must admit that I have no idea what is going to be announced. Logic would seem to dictate that after this much time spent on the investigation, and then a delay until after the AZ primary on 28 February to announce the results, that whatever it's going to be, it's likely to be significantly more than saying "Well follks, the Cold Case Posse looked into things very, very thoroughly, and I'm happy to report: Never Mind."
.
Arpaio Ping.
.
Thanks for the Ping!
You might have something in this thought.
March 1. Maybe Soebarka’s skeleton will start dancing.
“....the controversial law enforcement official told reporters Tuesday.”
Didja ever notice how Conservatives are always described by the bitter and lazy media as “controversial” ?
At one time his office quoted him as saying the “microfiche roll” of sequential birth certificates could not be tampered with and if allegations of tampering were true, the microfiche roll reveal what went on. No one else thought is this that I know of.
arpaio ping!
Thanks for the Ping!
I am looking forward to what Arpaio reveals!!!!!
“Arpaio added he believes he is doing the president a favor.
“I really started this on the theory that maybe I could clear this mess up,” Arpaio told reporters. “Wouldn’t it be nice for me to do that?””
Hum. That doesn’t sound particularly promising. But at the same time, it would be really good to put the Birth certificate nonsense behind us. Then we can move onto the legitimate issue of Minor V. Happersett.
The Lolo Soetoro adoption is going to be confirmed, and Obama is going to play a shamed victim, “But I really was born in Hawaii, and my mama was dumped by me deadbeat dad.”
That’s a very interesting statement.
There’s something at WND too. Something significant is coming. Probably used his old name on some Hawaii Document. Evidence of Indonesia citizenship is probable.
WND link?
While we were pledging allegiance to the United states, our president was pleading alliance to Indonesia. Sick but true.
