must be regulated by a government of thugs so that it can be cornered and controlled by them.

Hey, it worked in Russia.

These two pukes are late to the game. They must want funding for the families.

Pass the tinfoil hat.

When petroleum burns, it produces carbon dioxide and water, also known as moist plant food.

Carbon dioxide is a trace gas. It always has been a trace gas. It always will be a trace gas.

Any increase in carbon dioxide concentrations in the atmosphere are balanced by increases in vegetation. The vegetation absorbs the carbon dioxide and lowers the carbon dioxide concentration.

The whole system works just as it was designed to work.

the public reaction to their recently published commentary has missed their key message: that all forms of fossil fuels, including the oilsands and coal, must be regulated for the world to avoid dangerous global warming.

We're all just so incredibly stupid and uneducated out here that we are grateful for the great minds who guide us like this.

So how does this square with our coming out of an ice age? (Quaternary glaciation)

“Canada will burn wood for heat?”

No, Pristine, natural, biodegradable, renewable Canadian wood also releases CO2.

Considering the short Canadian growing season, by the time new forest growth sequesters that CO2, we will be at the end of the century and the dreaded Climate Change will have melted the ice caps, flooded Manhattan, and made alGore a few more billion dollars.

(Question: Is the “Dreaded Climate Change” any relation to the “Dread Pirate Roberts”?)

need I say it?..../sarc

Canada will burn wood for heat?

The environmentalists are too stupid to understand, but that's a good idea, even if the far left is correct for once. Wood takes carbon out of the atmosphere as the tree grows, and burning the wood releases the same carbon. Failing to burn the wood in most cases means that the wood decomposes - and still releases the original carbon back to the atmosphere in a few years. I think the effect of CO2 is vastly exaggerated in order to support the left's typical power grab, but non-fossil carbon fuels are clearly completely benign.

This Andrew Weaver?

In 2011, Weaver responded to accusations of falsifying data on climate change by suing Tim Ball, an outspoken skeptic of the issue, for defamation. The lawsuit accuses Ball of saying that Weaver “cheated the Canadian taxpayer by accepting public funding for climate science research although he has little or no knowledge about climate science and is incapable of conducting useful research,” and that he “bribed university students with research funds so they would participate in useless computer modeling studies…”

And his graduate student Neil Swart.

Canadians and homes in the Northeast rely heavily on wood and wood or brick pellets although they may have more costly gas/oil/electric as a backup or vice versa.

Global Warming :the phony theology ideology that Santorum spoke about.

Santorum: Obama supports ‘phony theology — not a theology based on the Bible’
By Felicia Sonmez
This post has been updated. An earlier version misquoted
Santorum as saying “phony ideology,” not “phony theology.”

But there is a BIG difference between global warming and just being environmental/energy conscious. Conscious of the costs and benefits of radiant wood heat has always been a way of life in colder parts of the country for centuries . Also in European countries as well use wood/byproducts.

http://www.wittus.com/
not just in the countryside settings but cities like Paris as well

Canada also has the Keystone--so becomes a choice of which source to use-- that these environmentalists can only waste words about.

I often say we have gone to the moon, launched satellites that can see every detail anywhere in the world, cruise the Internet where building knowledge on any given subject is endless....But we still burn wood, with all the labor that accompanies it.

They are more than willing to say this....but, they won’t debate it.

They’d lose.

This is a house of cards ready to fall.

One way to reduce the consumption of fossil fuels is to reduce the population using them.

Starting with these two scientists.

They live in Canada.

How do they propose to stay warm?

Move to Florida?

Too bad global warming is a hoax. The earth could use some warming.

Imagine growing temperate region crops troughout northern Canada, Alaska, Siberia, Norway and Finland.

Corn and wheat in northern Siberia, orange groves in North Carolina and England, tomato farms in Saskatchewan - yummie.

And just think of the reduction in pollution by not having to heat all those northern homes all winter long.

Too bad it’s a hoax.

Why would a Canadian be terrified of global warming anyway?

Well, two self-identified “scientists” tell us we have to cut fossil fuel use. Guess we’ve all got to do as they dictate.
