Former Ariz. Sheriff allegedly threatened to deport secret male lover.

“He hid that from us.”
And you’ve never in your life rolled through a desert Stop sign or filed a gray tax deduction?
We ‘thought” he was conservative. The touchy/feely pic atop this thread shows me all I need to see. “Conservative” and “Homosexual” are diametrically opposed concepts.
One can be homosexual and share many ‘conservative’ traits. That does not make you one. Hiding your sexuality from the public when the issue is so charged, is not ‘conservative.’ Thats what liberals do - hide the truth. See my posts above for further examples of why such is a bad idea.
Why, if homosexuality is so great, do so many politicos hide it from their voters? Why not run on the platform? Again, Homosexuality colors everything they do, how they see the world and once elected, how they perform their elected duties.
FR is filled with stories of homosexual republicans who have been outed or are open, who vote, govern et all to the dem standard and not that of their own platform. The Republican/conservative movement has a choice - Accept the reality of history and the effect of homosexuals in the ranks or change what we believe in.
Again, we are currently rife with homosexuality in politics. How is that working out for us? Is America better or worse for their influence on the governing process and laws created?
Answer honestly.
First 'report' I read said the Mexican hired a lawyer to prevent himself from getting deported. If he is here legally why would he be concerned about deportation enough to hire a lawyer? I consider 99% of the media to be leftist anyway.
Sucks....
Ooops.
Are you remotely serious with that asinine comparison?
Sheriff Babeu’s Press Conference...he has a lot of support on his Facebook Page.
Yes, go to Phoenix New Times and read the article and look at the pictures he posted on line and the texts. I am no New Times fan and I am sure they have an agenda. If it was just a scorned lovers comments I would not waste my time reading the article.
Here is the evidence of that threat as published in Phoenix New Times
In one series of texts Jose provided, the sheriff himself appears to be threatening his former lover:Babeu: "You can never have business after this and you will harm me and many others in the process . . . including yourself & your family."
Babeu followed with: "And you say you have loved me? Papi . . . this is no good."
Jose responded: "Good threats. Wont work. Im already hurt me . . . and you didn't care."
Then later:
Jose: "Dont threat me. Thats illegal. Im just speaking . . . true."
Babeu: "You have crossed the line. Better get an attorney. You brother will also be contacted."
Soon after, DeRose sent an e-mail directly to Jose ordering him to "cease and desist."
Babeu contended during the press conference that his attorney was contacting Jose and Jose's lawyer about Jose's tampering with campaign websites, that there were never any threats about Jose's getting deported -- but Jose and Weiss-Riner dispute the sheriff's claim.
I am not sure were our disconnect is here. Maybe generational. I don’t agree with the homosexual agenda, but that doesn’t mean I want them on a political blacklist of some kind.
I am saying that homosexuality doesnt automatically disqualify someone from running as a conservative and winning a primary. Someone could pull it off if they don’t make homosexuality a big issue in their campaign. The liberal gay gestapo on the left would have a bigger problem with it than conservatives would.
In some ways I think it is generational (I’m 46). You grew up in a time where Homosexuality was ‘mainstreamed’ as norma, acceptable and simply a different way to live. Everything you have been taught in school, TV, movies, magazines and peer pressure reinforces that preception.
Now take yourself outside the box. Look at it from a purely fact-based and historical perspective.
ok, now try answering this one question.
“Has the mainstreaming of homosexuality benefited society or harmed it?”
This includes all the Mayors, councilmen, Senators and Congressmen/Judges and their effect on law. Think Gay marriage.
I believe the agenda the media pushes involving homosexuality has hurt America and hurt other homosexuals who just want to live their lives and not bother anyone.
The image of sex in general that the entertainment media has been pushing has hurt America. Sex lasts what ? 10 minutes. They make it seem like its everything. all life is worth. its garbage
If you want to go by stats, there are more straight people living screwed up unhealthy sexual lifestyles as there are gay people. it is what it is.
How about the stats showing the AIDS deaths that last more than 10 min.
Seriously, you aren’t critically thinking this through. Their push for 10 min of sex has resulted in millions of deaths, Trillions in economic damage and a restructuring of 5000 years of societal norms for ‘rights’ concerning ‘10 min of sex’.
Look at this critically. Take the blinders off and analyze what Homosexuals with power have wrought on the planet.
Your argument consists of “Straights are screwed up too”.
1 concealing the homosexuality (Just like a Lib - He lied for power/benefit)
2 sexually exploiting an illegal alien (Just evil on every possible level)
3 the risque sexual lifestyle (Direct effect on his professional/governmental function as Sheriff)
If people who supported him last week knew then that he was a homosexual with an illegal Mexican “boyfriend” they might have dropped their support sooner.
Thanks!
The Mexican had a visa; everyone is jumping to conclusions without having all the facts.
He has a stellar record as sheriff. Look at his Facebook page; he still has a lot of support in AZ.
Post 42 awaits an answer.
One article I read today said that Babeau theatened the MX ex sex partner with deportation. So just having a visa doesn’t necessarily mean “legal”.
Plus, homosexuality is a mental and character disorder, County Sheriffs ought not to have grave character flaws, what to speak of mental illness.
I don’t care if he won all kinds of popularity contests.
Your comments are excellent and true. Ping me if DLfromthedesert answers you.
