TOLEDO, Ohio (AP) -- Officials at an Ohio university have ordered radios on campus shuttle buses be locked into one station and volume restricted after a student complained a driver was a playing a "far-right Christian political" channel at high volume.
The Blade newspaper reports the policy was suggested by the University of Toledo's manager of transit services and gives drivers only an on/off option. In a memo, the manager, Steven John Wise, describes the selected station as "nonoffensive, work place type music, helpful weather info." Radio volume also is being restricted as a safety measure.
The student made the complaint to university president Lloyd Jacobs on Jan. 26 and said the bus had become "a mobile proselytizing unit." The student said those attending a state university expect to be free from forced religious and political views.
"The content of these broadcasts is blatantly offensive, derogatory, and abusive to anyone not in line with the very extreme views of those speaking," the complaint says. "Issues such as women's rights, sexual rights, and reproductive rights all come under constant attack. I can only imagine how someone affected deeply by any of these issues might feel being a captive audience to such abuse."

I was deeply offended that I was taught that Jesus was just a man at my public university.
The student said those attending a state university expect to be free from forced religious and political views.
BAWWWaaahahahahahahah!!!
Free from religion at a College but free from political views? Get friggin real. You are showered in leftist/socialist/communist political views daily at most any College in the US.
And just wait until the muslims get there and then tell us about forced religion!!!
Wonder if this student complains when he gets anti-religious and liberal political views at his state university? Doubt it. Just another flaming lib complaining. I say turn off all radio channels if they want to be fair. You know, the libs are all about fairness.
...”I pray for this country”...
Me, too. When you have a country where a minority of one person can take away freedom for everyone, you have unbelievable chaos, injustice, corruption and no common sense to be found anywhere. That bus driver is trying to do his job while exercising his freedom to what enriches and helps him throughout his day, whether it is a Christian station or NPR. That should be HIS choice, not the choice of someone on his bus for 10 minutes. When will this majority stand up? Will they just go meekly into the long, dark night of communism with very little whimpering? My guess is that ALL those who are actively working to wreck America today would not compose 10% of the total population. Ignorant people might go along with them, but most people, when given TRUE facts and an understanding about the different forms of government will choose freedom every time. The only thing most of us can do is to pray for widespread exposure and understanding of the treason we are experiencing on a day to day basis here. We must not lose hope..
FYI
It’s all about choice...don’t want to listen? Don’t ride the bus. College jackasses probably need the exercise...
