The AH1N1 flu virus has left a total of 135 people dead in Mexico so far this year, with the number of fatalities up 67 percent in just one week, according to figures released by the authorities.
The total number of deaths from AH1N1 flu reported by Mexicos Health Secretariat up to Feb. 9 was 81, with another 54 the following week.
The secretariat said Friday that deaths from the AH1N1 strain of flu from Jan. 1 to Feb. 16 represents 91 percent of the 149 fatalities from the different types of flu now active in the country.
At the same time, 4,440 cases of people infected with the AH1N1 flu virus have been reported in the same period of time, which also represents 91 percent of the total 4,884 flu cases.
Three seasonal flu viruses are currently active in Mexico - AH1N1, AH3N2 and influenza B - but the AH1N1 is by far the most prevalent this year.
The AH1N1 virus broke out in Mexico between March and April 2009, and locally the alert for the disease was in force up to June 29, 2010, by which time some 1,300 deaths had occurred and more than 70,000 people had contracted the disease.
And here I am with a ton of ultra D3 in the cupboard!
I used to take it religiously for its great antioxidant results but just sort of fell away from it.
Thanks RC!
/runs off to gulp D3
:)
I did a lot with essential oils like Eucalyptus and others that help open the respiratory passages (like Fir, Spruce, Camphor, etc). I’d make a bowl of very hot water, drop in the EO mix, breathe in the steam, etc. Also taking wash cloths, putting them in the water with EOs, placing on back alternating with upper chest, and covering up in between, and re-applying as soon as the slightly start to cool a teeny bit, is very helpful for breaking up crap in the lungs so you can cough it out.
Later, I was coughing crap out for months. Take it very easy so your energy can get used for healing. It really sounds like swine H1N1. People did get it twice, even in 2009-2010, I’m pretty sure I did. If it starts up again (and sounds as though it is), I’m going into serious hermitess mode. Even more than usual, and that’s something.
Traditions say do not drink or eat anything cold, as that stagnates stuff more in lungs and so on, hot spicey things like ginger tea, honey is also good for liquifying stuff to get it out and drying it up, black pepper too. Soups with hot spices in them. Orange juice aggravates congestion but hot lemade, esp with grated peel, is anti-viral and good. Grate only org. peel though, they dunk citrus in some nasty stuff.
Should be this evening.
That’s interesting. That “should be this evening” was for a different thread, I hadn’t even opened this one, yet.
The effect of D3 that I noticed first, I can only compare to Mucinex. The deepseated congestion started breaking loose and coming out.
I started cautiously on 3,000 IU, and worked my way up to 6,000, a level I’ve never exceeded. I only go there when I’m feeling subpar, the daily “dose” is 3,000. It’s worked for me thus far, whatever the reason.
Mark for later.
Mark for later.
Not sure if I’m on your ping list but if not please add me.
Thanks.

The U.S. National Science Advisory Board for Biosecurity tried to block study details from being released for fear that it could be used by terrorists to make a bioweapon. * * * NSABB chair Dr. Paul Keim was so anxious, because he claimed it was the most potentially dangerous pathogen in existence. "I don't think anthrax is scary at all compared to this," Keim told Science Insider back in November 2011.
