If they have Gingrich in last place, it tells me he is their real threat. I trust nothing this election, nothing or anyone, only my instincts, and the person I have chosen for my vote. I know beyond any doubt that Gingrich can lead us out of this four long year nightmare. Their manipulation of him has been epic, tells me all I need to know.

I believe it. Remember, Iowa was soaked in a solid month of unanswered Newt-hatred from the Romney campaign, and the caucus results showed that the bumpkins clearly swallowed it down. No reason they should start thinking for themselves now, when the press no longer cares what they think.

I find this poll believable. Despite 0bama winning in 08, I think that was partially due to Iowans being overly nice, and being somewhat sheltered from the "real world". I think many favoring 0bama, were simply out of white guilt.

I think this time around, enough will flip after they have seen the incompetency out of 0bama. One thing that helps 0 is that the economy isn't really that bad here, relative to other areas of the country. The farm business is booming, and we have one of the lowest unemployment rates in the country.

I have a married couple friends, nice income, Catholic. They both voted for 0 in 08. I asked them why. "Because Bush sucks." I am getting the feeling they won't be repeating the mistake.

I like Newt. He has done a lot of good things for our country. I would be content with him as Rick’s VP. Newt might still turn things around, but it is starting to get rather unlikely. Whether he does or not, the refusal of some of his supporters to face reality is amazing. You would think from some of the comments that Newt has won every primary and caucus and is leading nationally, whereas he has only won one state and is trailing badly now.

Interesting to watch, but sad.
