Totally agree. Like you said, there are plenty of reasons not to choose Romney as your candidate, but making his religion one of them, is small minded at best, bigoted at worse. He has as much chance of proselytizing Mormonism from the White House, as Donny and Marie did from their TV show.

Mitt is not just a mere Mormon. He is the great, great grandson of Parley Pratt, one of the original leaders of the LDS and an original member of the Quorum of Twelve Apostles.

Mitt is something of a high priest and is consider by many Mormons to be the fulfillment of prophecy...a savior who will bring about a Mormon theocracy in America.

Really? Learn about mormonism. Romney is who he is because of his mormonism not in spite of it. Romney’s soul motivation is mormonism, it is his core.
Unless you understand mormonism you will not understand Romney.

Every time Willard gives a “talk” on the campaign trail he preachs his chosen religion with words like the following...

Mitt Romney, Dec, 2007, speaking in the George Bush Presidential Library: “I believe in my Mormon faith and I endeavor to live by it. My faith is the faith of my fathers – I will be true to them and to my beliefs.”

and he does the same in 2012...

Why would Mormon bishop Willard Mitt Romney suddenly stop preaching the religion he has blood sworn to defend with his life just because he moved into the White House ???
