North Carolina officials have said there was a misunderstanding when a preschoolers homemade lunch was sent home for not meeting certain nutritional requirements, but now a second mother from the same school has come forward exclusively to The Blaze to say the same thing happened to her daughter.
Diane Zambrano says her 4-year-old daughter, Jazlyn, is in the same West Hoke Elementary School class as the little girl whose lunch gained national attention earlier this week. When Zambrano picked Jazlyn up from school late last month, she was told by Jazlyns teacher that the lunch she had packed that day did not meet the necessary guidelines and that Jazlyn had been sent to the cafeteria.
The lunch Zambrano packed for her daughter? A cheese and salami sandwich on a wheat bun with apple juice. The lunch she got in the cafeteria? Chicken nuggets, a sweet potato, bread and milk.
She never eats breakfast or lunch at the school, Zambrano said of her daughter during an interview with The Blaze. We always wake up early and make her lunch.

These people need the relationship between parents and their children “explained” to them.

The school food police strike again.
The funds raised in these FReepathons go to pay our current quarter expenses. But we're also going to try to replace some of our older servers and failing equipment this year so we're going to add a little extra to our FReepathon goals. John is estimating ten to fifteen thousand to do this and I'd like to get it all in place and working before the election cycle is fully heated up, so we'll try to bring in a little extra now, if we can, and the rest next quarter.

Does anyone have respect for the public schools anymore?
Wasn’t it so much easier when it was a schoolmarm and a one room school house?
I really need to stop asking myself “how much more can we take”? Each time I do, POOF.
Chicken nuggets again. What is it with the chicken nuggets? Those things contain chicken buttholes and faces and who knows what else all ground up and then deep fried. Nutritious.
The objective it to teach those little kids that only government cares for them and they cannot trust their parents.
I am so investing in chicken stock.
ENOUGH WITH THE FREAKING NUGGETS A-HOLES!!!
Find out who the supplier is, then buy stock in THAT company :)
Really. My Dad, who was part of "the Greatest Generation" somehow survived over twenty years of military service, and after retirement work as an engineer..
He and his siblings used to take lard sandwiches for their lunch. How could America win a world war without those heroes growing up eating chicken nuggets?
Disgusting, yes, but better than your garden variety, red-dyed cheap hotdog.
At least the chicken nuggets are presumably manufactured from rendered chicken sludge. Cheap hotdogs contain multiple species in their sludge. There's a reason they're dyed red. It's because their natural color is repulsive.
What a week. Government-forced abortion and government-forced feeding all in the same week. Obama’s on a roll.
They are from the government. The government knows everything better than mom and dad.
That is the message.
Bow to master government!!
ugh
