Even if socialism did work in Sweden, and it doesn’t, it would still be a poor comparison because Sweden is much smaller in area and population and it’s population is much more homogeneous.
The US should be more like the US.
Nobody else can do it and nobody can be like Sweden like Sweden.
That’s the truth of the matter.
I think Springsteen should be more like Blue Swede.
Sweden couldn’t be “like Sweden” without the US being what it was in the past century,
and that’s another truth of the matter.
One of the songwriters/performers I admire most is coming to Pittsburgh next month. Mrs p6 and I could go since we are both off that night and it would cost less than $150.
John Prine is an amazing lyricist and I am a huge fan BUT I’m sure he’ll start spewing leftist drival, I’ll get upset and there will be a problem.
FWIW decades ago I took Mrs P6 to see another of my favs, John Hartford. Very intimate setting, we could literally touch him if we had wanted. Of course he was another left leaning folkie but to his credit he put on a wonderful one man show and didn’t say one thing political or controversial. It was a purely musical performance.
That said I think he was stoned through the show....sigh.
Bruce would crap bigger than Mitt Romney’s dog on top of the family car if he had to pay Sweden’s sky-high tax rates.
So, go for it Bruce, you moonbat. Is your hand broken, Brucie? You can write a big check anytime you want to the U.S. Treasury so your hero Obummer can “save the world.”
