Contraception ruling: Democrats accuse clergy of complicity with GOP at hearing
Fox News ^ | 2/16/2012 | By James Rosen

Democratic lawmakers exchanged testy words with their Republican counterparts at a House hearing Thursday that intensified the debate over President Obama's recent mandate on contraception. One Democrat even called into question the good faith of the broad array of clergymen who served on the witness panel.

"I believe today's hearing is a sham," said Rep. Gerald Connolly, D-Va., of the first of two session held by the House Oversight and Government Reform Committee during the day. His tone sharp and finger pointed, Connolly went on to declare the witnesses -- who included a Catholic bishop, a Lutheran reverend, an Orthodox rabbi, and two Baptist theologians, all opposed to the administration's recent ruling -- "complicit" in the Republicans' "trampling" of House traditions that would, if observed, have produced a more balanced panel.

FU Foxnews! This is NOT about "contraception", it's about the 1st Amendment to the Constitution.

"The amendment prohibits the making of any law respecting an establishment of religion, impeding the free exercise of religion"

This is how Democrat socialists play for keeps, knowing the MSM is on their side.

They are forcing their ‘morality’ down our throats and accusing of it when we complain.

True.
But many now see those who plan to uphold and defend the Constitution as standing in the way of their free stuff.

These accusations infuriate me. You’ve got the folks like Jeremiah Wright, Jesse Jackson, etc who use their pulpits every Sunday to push a political agenda that has little if anything to do with Christianity. And we all just accept it because they’re democrats and democrats cheat.

In the meantime the conservative churches have been minding their own business as much as possible. But when the government starts telling them they have to commit what they believe to be murder and the churches HAVE to speak out or else be guilty of idolatry, then some POS democrat from Virginia claims these clergymen are suckers being used for political purposes.

I cannot even describe how livid this makes me.

And I would like to tell the gal who objected to there not being any women clergy who testified, “When you allow a fetus to testify on behalf of the aborted, then and only then will we allow a woman to testify on behalf of the women.”

I am a woman and I am so sick of the idea that this is a WOMAN’s issue. This is a human issue, and specifically this is about whether the US government can establish a religion that it forces everybody else to follow - with abortion its key sacrament that everybody is forced to participate in. This has nothing to do with women’s health. Women can get whatever healthcare they want. This is about FORCING people who believe abortion to be murder to participate in every other woman’s abortion choice. This is specifically intended to make EVERYBODY guilty - which won’t bother the depraved at all but will destroy the people who actually value life.

The Constitution expressly forbids the government establishment of religion and guarantees freedom of religion.

The Obama administration is determined to present a picture of Obamacare as protecting women’s rights from the “sanctimonious” rulings of the church.

The next mandate that Obama is likely to force on the Catholic institutions is for assisted suicide, which also plays a role in Obamacare.

Let’s ask Obama if assisted suicide is next on his agenda.

With this happening and the incident in NC with the little girl’s lunch, I believe America has woken up to what’s going on here. BO in our religion and the Mooch sending the food police out. Apparantly, people in NC are absolutely outraged, but the MSM is not covering. BO and the Mooch are toast in November.

The saddest thing to see is the minions, some of whom are otherwise very smart people. believing this trumped up crisis for womens health. Pregnancy IS NOT A DISEASE!!! And pcp do not prevent cancer, in fact they contribute to it. If one particular pill shows lower incidents of certain cancers. the cause and effect does not seem to be there. But even accepting the premise that it is, that same pill will cause another kind, so it is of no benefit to health.

This HOLE crisis is to give women FREE contraceptives, and their claim that if it isn’t free it’s banned. IT boggles the mind.

There is absolutely no access problem for women who want to use contraceptives, none. But this administration invented another crisis where none exists, and the masses get apopleptic.

ALSO, the Churches and their hospitals and charities are still having to purchase the ins. policies to cover the blasphemy, and they are not willing to jeopardize their eternal souls by complying. They know that the first amendment is all about rights that are OURS, granted to us by The Lord Almighty, and are therefore NOT the govts to decide. They have no right to take them, and therefore NO right to decide to accommodate anyone on them, much less the Church. Again, he has no right to “accommodate” anyone, much less the Church, something that is already their/our own!!! It is not his to give.
