Former Pennsylvania Senator Rick Santorum continues to ride his polling momentum into Ohio where he leads Mitt Romney by nearly two-to-one in the first Rasmussen Reports survey of Republicans in the state.
The new statewide telephone survey of Likely Republican Primary voters shows Santorum picking up 42% of the vote to Romneys 24%. Former House Speaker Newt Gingrich draws 13% support, while Texas Congressman Ron Paul picks up 10%. Three percent (3%) prefer some other candidate, and eight percent (8%) are undecided.

No, what this photo of George Bush will do is remind people how much better it was just a few short years ago.... George Bush, Miss me Yet ?
“There is also a video that even shows Newt in his own words saying that he came into the GOP as a Roosevelt, Rockefeller, ENVIRONMENTALIST ... yes, you heard it right, a environmentalist.”
I don’t think even Teddy Roosevelt would come up with a plan to put giant mirrors in space.
Negative view: This is a soft-numbered 750 : +/-4, and yet this poll will spur Mittens cadre to pump commercial money into Ohio earlier than planned.
"Still, despite Santorums recent surge, most Ohio primary voters (55%) think Romney ultimately will win the Republican nomination. Just 26% see Santorum as the GOP nominee."
Poor Willard...:)
When my quarterback had the ball I was rooting for him, I am still rooting for him and I will continue to root for him. This game is a long way from over, regardless of what you may preach.
Newt is out when he says he is...... and not one second sooner.
I want you to vote for the guy that you believe in your heart is the best guy to lead this country out of these dark times.... I will do the same.
To be clear, I WILL NOT take part in giving the GOP-e what they want. I WILL NOT yield to the wishes of those bastards at Fox news who are trying to help shove a candidate down our throats, the rest of MSM, or the turncoat RINO’s that brainwash the masses on the radio. I truly don’t give a flip what these as$hats have to say.
I am seeing dirty politics and considering what is at stake, it pi$$es me off more than ever.
I do not surrender, I have to be beaten. I do not follow sheep, never have and I’ll be damned if I’ll start now. I am 63 and that makes me too old to be a snot nosed sissy that lets others think for him.
I fully recognize that my guy may not win, the deck is now stacked against him at the moment, but as long as he has fight in him, I’ll support him.
Again, you go right ahead and vote for Santorum.... he is a fine man to many, just not to me.
By now you may have figured out what I think you can do with that football of yours.
Have a delightful day....
GO NEWT GO—its about the survival of our country!!
Yes. I think people are tired of the negatives and now want to hear what they will do. I think continuing to go negative on the candidates every time she was on camera cost Bachmann her spot. A certain amount, yes. After that, get back on message.
Since you are unwilling to vote in multiple states I’m thinking you just don’t care.
LOL yeah that’s it.
A poll like this is the result of cheery picking the respondents. Use “adults” or “ registered voters” rather than likely or certain voters and the Left scores a bigger percentage. Then a 1000 respondents is only about 20 per state and can be manipulated by carefully selecting the area codes called.
A lead within or barely outside the margin of error after Republicans have been gutting each other will disappear when the attacks on Urkel start in earnest.
Santorum can definitely beat the Commie if he does not hold back.
The Left hates Santorum as much as Newt. Vote for him because he is better looking.
“...another arrogant jackass>”
If nominated I will not run, if elected I will not serve.
If you know anything about American political history there is no reason for you to be anything but pessimistic. Our electorate is made up of the ignorant, corruptible and the indifferent with maybe 40% having their heads on straight.
BTAIM I think Mitt or Rick could beat Urkel. Newt would have the hardest time but he might as well. Certainly I would enthusiastically vote for him over Urkel and even more enthusiastically for Rick.
