Israeli Ambassador Ron Prosor told the United Nations Monday that Syrian children are dying from famine but that they are not the tragic fatalities of a famine. They are not the accidental casualties of war. They are the deliberate targets of a brutal regime that will commit any crime and cross any line to cling to power.
They look out at the camera with pleading eyes desperate for help, he said in a discussion on Syrian President Bashar Assads continuing brutal suppression of the 11-month-old rebellion.
Today I recall the images of infants and young children from the Baba Amr neighborhood of Hom, Ambassador Prosor stated. They are injured, covered in bandages and terrified beyond belief These children are trying to reach out to the world. They are asking the world to lend a hand.

So what’s the big surprise? Didn’t the US government burn many children to death in Waco several years ago?
A: For the same reason the Palestinians get practically nothing but guns and rockets from their Arab brothers - if they were truly being helped and were not in constant need, that wouldn't make particularly good propaganda.
Have the pictures been censored? none of the links work. The video showed nothing more than food being loaded in a vehicle.
What is going on?
If these reports are true, at least part of the responsibility lies at the feet of the Syrian rebel leadership that last week announced to the world that they couldn’t wait to slaughter Assad’s wife and children.
When you bring a knife to a gun fight, and then you declare open season on the gun-wielder’s children, chances are you’re going to get shot.
Radical Islamists have no soul. Obama turned over Egypt and Libya to them. Apparently, Assad of Syria watched and learned.
