.. US filmmaker Sean Stone, son of Oscar-winning director Oliver Stone, converted to Islam on Tuesday in Iran, where he is making a documentary, he told AFP.
"The conversion to Islam is not abandoning Christianity or Judaism, which I was born with. It means I have accepted Mohammad and other prophets," he said in a brief telephone call from the central Iranian city of Isfahan, where he underwent the ceremony.
Sean Stone's famous father is Jewish, while his mother is Christian.
The 27-year-old filmmaker did not say why he converted.
According to Iran's Fars news agency, Sean Stone had become a Shiite and had chosen to be known by the Muslim first name Ali.
Sean/Ali Stone has acted in minor roles in several of his father's films, and has directed a handful of documentaries.

This poor fellow will quickly learn that the word “islam” translates to “submit”. If he’s telling the truth about accepting islam AS WELL AS Christianity, Judaism, etc., he is about to get a very harsh reality check. I’ll bet no one has told him the price for leaving islam is DEATH.
I will guess that Stone is probably fuming mad not because his kid converted to a radical hate filled religion, but because he is religious at all. Commie Pinkos don’t like organized religion.

No. Oliver Stone's father was Jewish and his mother Catholic. He was baptized an Episcopalian and became a Buddhist. Oliver's first wife was Lebanese, presumably Muslim. His second, this young man's mother, was presumably born and raised as some sort of Christian. Oliver Stone's third wife is Korean, possibly raised Buddhist, but who knows. How hard was that?
He needed structure and security his parents never gave to him——so he is told what to do every hour he is awake. This immaturity also allows him to marry numerous girls—treat them like sh(t-—probably he hates his mother——and allows him to treat other human beings as apes.
He is a narcissistic, weak person who has had his individualism destroyed by his collectivist parents—he can not think independently-—needing to subjugate others by direction so he can feel good about himself because he grew up feeling worthless because his parents never had time for him—to teach him to be a moral, independent loved person.
