Mitt Romney is getting some heavy air support in Michigan the state where he was born and raised as the super PAC supporting him invests almost $500,000 on television ads there.
According to someone who tracks Republican media spending, Restore Our Future has committed just over $470,000 for commercials starting Tuesday and set to run through Feb. 20. That marks the groups largest purchase yet in Michigan, where it will have spent more than $700,000 on ads by next week.
The group said Monday that it would continue for now to run an ad called Risk that targets Newt Gingrich using images and attacks that have by now become familiar advertising fodder. It cites the proliferation of earmarks during his tenure as House speaker and shows a shot of him sitting with Nancy Pelosi on a couch in front of the Capitol, a shot taken from a public service announcement on global warming.

I didn't present fantasy, but a question. And I didn't ask if you cared .... I was looking for an answer----a rebuttal, facts to prove me wrong.
But it's clear from your reply that you don't have any.
Very enlightening. Thanks.
Hmmmm......could it be either these polls are bogus or the now greatest Conservative in recorded history Mr. Santorum and the much disliked Willard have made a pact.
Just askin

Here's something just as likely
Hmmmmmmmm.........Maybe Newt is purposefully throwing the election so Romney can win??? Perhaps all a show??
Just askin’
lol...You guys are a riot!
Here are some more theories;
Explosives at the twin towers? You decide.. More information at Ron-Paul-theories.com
Well, at least my question was answered. Not with a drop of intelligence, but answered none-the-less.
Thanks....I do appreciate the effort.
Enjoy the rest of the evening and keep in touch.
What’s the matter? Touch a nerve? Good grief...it was just as legitimate of a theory as yours. In fact, I modeled it after you!
She thinks Obama is right on the contraception issue and overlooks the Constitutional question. My husband and I are still discussing this with her, so far to no avail.
At 29 there is still hope. I know a ton of 20-30 somethings that were so liberal that I was SHOCKED when I saw them again years later and they were even more conservative than me and others on this site. I agree that the non-church independents will be important for sure. I just would like to see an overview of how this is positive for Santorum or negative for Santorum with the religious (mainly for my own interest).
They’ve been radio spots during rush hour.
No 21st Century Nixon/Agnew ticket named Romney/Santorum, no I won’t support it because its the establishment ticket all the way.
Nothing wrong with Romney losing in Michigan to Santorum, but what is the deal with the PAC attack ads?
If Romney’s PAC is attacking the third place candidate (Newt) instead of the first place candidate (Santorum) does that make any sense to you?

Well, something is sure up and I don’t like it one bit. Here in Michigan we have either Rick or Mitt in first place yet both of them are running ads against Newt who is in 4th place. Something very strange going on and I am not biting.
It's the old, 'if you can't convince them, you confuse them'.
Based on memory and taking his word for it as opposed to "Fred's" bald faced lie I picked apart yesterday, I think he was referring to 1993 or 1999 post Columbine when the NRA has some alternative bills to the super bad Clinton proposals. I know the stupid gun locks bill was part of it.
I'm pretty sure Newt voted for the same stuff in 93/94 (was gone for 1999/2000) if it was in the house as neither Santorum or Newt will go against the NRA. I'm not attacking Newt for that. Both of them will follow NRA and have A+ (Santorum) and A (Gingrich) rating by them. Usually that's good, but it is not always good.
I'll send this to a very good friend of mine who's a PAC member for a state level 2a organization that is not a lackey for the NRA or anyone else. He's also a Santorum backer largely on this issue and Paul's vote against national reciprocity.
“As others have hypothesized previously, the actions by Romney and Santorum to target Newt is because it is acceptable to the GOP establishment to destroy the true reformer.”
Yes, people have hypothesized that, but anyone with any sense knows it’s ridiculous. No serious person entertains that.
Do you call this ad run by this same group about Santorum to be “pro-Santorum”, with accompanying anti-Santorum website launched?
I don’t have to tell anyone, much less the media, who has their own agenda. Some never learn but it’s not rocket science to know by now - they aren’t capable as they fed on the media far too long to think for themselves. I heard him a few months back praising mitt. The media does what it was de$igned to do.
You sound skeptical...you mean you don’t believe these ads are pro-Santorum run by the same Romney SuperPac?

It’s really hard for me to get my head around people buying into these random theories. It can’t be that their guy isn’t doing well because...well, people just don’t think he’s the best person for the job. Or, that another guy with no money can succeed on grit, hard work and a better message.
