Republicans may still be incensed about Richard Cordrays recess appointment to the Consumer Financial Protection Board, but it doesnt look like theyll be taking it out on other Obama nominees. On Thursday, the Senate overwhelmingly voted to confirm Cathy Ann Bencivengo as a U.S. District Court judge, supporting her 90 to 6. It was the first Senate confirmation vote since President Obama appointed Cordray, and it bodes well for other nominees waiting in the wings.
The few Republicans who voted against Bencivengos nomination made it clear that they wanted to send Obama a message about the Cordray appointment, which they consider unconstitutional on technical grounds. Sen. Mike Lee, one of the dissenters, admitted his nay vote had nothing to do with Bencivengos qualifications. Instead, I do so in defense of the U.S. Constitution. ... I find myself duty-bound to oppose this nomination, he said, according to the Salt Lake Tribune.

I have completely lost faith in the Republican leadership. They don’t take the Democrats to task for failing to propose a budget, they give Holder a pass on Fast and Furious, they roll over for unconstitutional recess appointments. I’m disgusted with them.
I can’t see not voting against obumbler this go around but come one day after the election i think its time for a new party. I’d vote for a derelict against him this go around,he’s that much of a danger but after that no more giving in.
Thank sir, may I please have another?
Whatever he thought would be politically expedient for himself. Even if it meant sharing a couch with Pelosi.
As long as these losers are in Washington, we are the real losers!
Talk tough

I’m done with them.
FUGOP. Where is the tea party’s representation?
First, voting "no" on the next nominee sounds like there behavior of a vindictive child, not a legislator. Second, is this REALLY their only legal recourse? Or, is this the only one that a mere handful of them have the courage to try?
Whatever it is, it's pathetic.
For this voter, this election and its aftermath will determine whether the Republican party remains a viable preference over a third party.
If we elect a Rino or re-elect Obama in November, I will no longer hold my nose and vote for the lesser-of-two-evils. I will vote my conscience, even if it involves writing in a candidate who’s not running. We have pretty much lost America. Obama’s 2nd term will finish it off.
The majority of Republicans currently serving in the House and Senate have no core values for which they’re willing to fight. They get their panties in a bunch, and then get ‘em shoved up their butts. And they seem to enjoy it, given the number of times this process is repeated.
This is your last chance, GOP. Man up. Better yet, borrow some balls from Sarah Palin...
The GOP needs to fear the Tea Party. If they don’t they aren’t our representatives and third party here we come.
Lock and load, boys and girls.
That there ballot box—she don’t work no more.

I knew this would happen. F**king GOP.
I’ts instructive that Harry Reid can almost fully control the members of his party, while Republican Senate “leaders” such as Trent Lott, Frist and McConnell can’t seem to herd their cats to even make a filibuster statement that opposes Zero’s recent illegal appointments. Shameful!!
