Romney wins CPAC with 38%.
Excuse me?
someone get a hook and take this fool off
I want to hear Sarah...
Im watching the CSPAN stream...
I think we’re back to the problem where the surge of Santorum, if it weakens AT ALL, is going to put us right back to Newt and Rick splitting the vote and giving Romney the win.
The problem I imagine is that CPAC leans to well-educated or well-off people, and women in that group are extremely unlikely to be social conservatives. The colleges see to it that feminist leanings are drilled into their heads. They end up projecting that into, “we can’t nominate a social conservative because they’re not electable.” What it really means is that THEY don’t like social conservatism. They haven’t seriously considered a poll that says what women nationwide think about it or anything.
“What does that first C stand for again?”
Conservative.
WHO THE F*CK CARES! “CPAC” is a ROMNEYITE Outfit if I EVER SAW ONE!
LOL
Romney is getting BOOOOOOOOOO
:)
I hear booing
CinoPac
The guy talking is from the Republican wing - they are pro Romney. Nothing conservative about CPAC - they infiltrated it. Wonder what Sarah will say about the results.
LOL! OMG, could that be any more blatant?
The GOP establishment is to Romney, as the MSM is to Obama.
No difference.
Romney hates puppy dogs.
Millie apeaking now
introducing SARAH !!!
I clearly heard loud booing as well. This thang was rigged, I tell ya.
MittPAC? RINOPAC? StatistPAC?
I did too. And the poll data and audience enthusiasm for Palin makes no sense with the Romney support. I don’t understand that.
Majority favored candidate’s position over “electability” and yet Romney won? That’s pure BS.
There are no conservatives in the GOP establishment. They have simply co-opted the label. They are no different than the Dems in that it is all political and whatever happens to suit their purposes at the time.
When it suits their purposes, they are conservative, when it does not, they act against a conservative position. Case in point, the vote in favor of Romney. A group that calls itself conservative just voted in favor of a liberal.
CPAC - Conference of Politicians Acting Conservative
What’s really stupid is that Romney hasn’t flip-flopped much on his economic liberalism. So I don’t know if these people are ignorant about what conservatism means or if they are SO conservative that they are consumed with hate for Obama and don’t care who they beat him with or what’s actually going to happen over the next 4 years. Then of course they have to swallow the meme that Romney is the most “electable” which there is absolutely no evidence for, especially now that he’s losing by more than others in national polls.
Here is all the evidence you need that hes the next John Corzine, i.e. a liberal high-finance businessman who’s incompetent on fiscal policy and cannot be trusted...
* Socialized medicine under Romneycare, his staff went on to help design Obamacare
* Taxpayer-funded abortion through Planned Parenthood
* Raised taxes/fees to the tune of hundreds of millions of dollars in Massachusetts
* Massachusetts ranked 47th out of 50 in job creation under his tenure as governor
* Wants taxes to be higher on people making $200,000 or more; even Obama only wants them higher on $250,000 or more
* The Wall Street Journal says his tax plan is timid and similar to Obamas
* Said the poor are doing just fine by being stuck in the safety net and he isnt concerned with them
* Refused to speak out in favor of John Kasichs efforts in Ohio to curb union abuses
* Believes the minimum wage should be indexed to inflation, a classic bleeding heart liberal job-killing policy
* Believes in the class warfare mantra that creates policies to help some classes but not others
