Memo to the Republican Establishment, Part II.
First of all, let me apologize for not getting back to you sooner. I realize it's been 15 days since I've penned (as the Mittster would say) my last memo to you. . . . Good manners dictate that I convey my most heartfelt congratulations to you for what you did to old Newt in your aggressive ad campaign. I mean, you guys really did him in. As we say in Louisiana, you made minced meat out of that boy.
You rounded up a bunch of Wall Street money and turned it over to the Willie Horton ad guy to destroy one of your own. You boys really crack me up . . . I don't think we Democrats could come up with something quite so clever. You have accomplished quite a feat.
The problem that you have now is not Newt. It may take a few months, but you will get him under control. Your in-house network -- the boys over at Fox . . . thought they had wired Newt up to go positive, but they found out it is difficult to control a Tulane man. Don't worry, he just got sucker punched. Soon enough he and all of his "baggage" will be sent packing. . . .
You know how it goes, you squish one gnat and you gotta deal with another. Your latest nuisance comes in the form of an anti-contraception activist and 18-point loser, Rick Santorum. . . . I know you don't need my help in disposing of this loser.
The problem you have now is the same problem you've had all along. It's the Mittster -- and it's a big problem. . . . [snip]

now that is interesting!!
Carville is being a bit too smart for his own good. From the context, it is clear that the dems are planning to hang Romney with his remark, that income redistribution, i.e. tax policy, should be discussed "in quiet rooms". Romney probably meant "in a rational, non-political setting", but the Dems will spin it, most likely successfully, as suggesting that decisions will be made by an elitist, uncaring Romney behind closed doors, excluding input from "the people".
Romney is an extremely dangerous gaff machine, because his core belief are limited to his religious beliefs, which themselves are alien to 98.5% of the population.
Yes... he came on right after Newt... and he said he had the october surprise already to go... and probably more... And he was basically waging war on the media...
exc:
“Andrew Breitbart took the podium at CPAC Friday afternoon, introduced to the stage with Rage Against The Machines Guerrilla Radio, and revealed to the audience he had videos of Barack Obama from his college days. I have videos, this election were going to vet him, Breitbart disclosed to raucous applause. We are going to vet him from his college days to show you why racial division and class warfare are central to what hope and change was sold in 2008.
The videos are going to come out, the narrative is going to come out, that Barack Obama met a bunch of silver ponytails in the 1980s, like Bill (Ayers) and Bernadine (Dohrn), who said one day we would have the presidency, and the rest of us slept as they plotted, and they plotted, and they plotted and they oversaw hundreds of millions of dollars in the Annenberg Challenge and they had real money, from real capitalists. Then they became communists. We got to work on that. That is a parenthesis. Barack Obama is a radical, we should not be afraid to say that! Okay? And Barack Obama was launched from Bill and Bernadines salon. Ive been there.
Breitbart shared an anecdote about having dinner at their house, and surmised there was no way Obama didnt have many a meal at their kitchen table.
Watch Breitbarts Full CPAC speech below:
You’re right that Obama himself won’t touch the subject of Romney’s religion. I’m not even sure any PACs will, either, but there’s no doubt that 60 Minutes, 20/20, Dateline NBC, etc. will run in-depth stories on the creepiest aspects of Mormonism.
The breitbart speech is a real must watch... it is only about 15 min... but he was on fire... and was sort of the jeans and suede version of Newt... those two need to get together... they are equally fearless... both of the speeches are great in their different ways...
watching now; thanks :)
that was an awesome speech he gave. I had listened to it earlier only half way and forgot about it (lol); finished it now. Definitely a must watch!!
Masked behind this extraterrestrial junkyard dog is true Democrap fear of ANY of the 4 Repub candidates.
If his complaint is that Romney could make Mincemeat outta Gingrich, then James Crapville probably fears that Romney can do that to Obama just as well.
I don’t think that was his point at all. He’s laughing at the GOP-e going after Newt, and ending up with Rinomey, who, he observed, has caused low turnouts in all states (except for South Carolina, which Newt blew out of the park). The point with that: it’s obvious no one wants Rinomey in the WH except for the GOP-e.
If you didn’t read the article, you should. It’s a first: he’s actually spot on with almost all his commentary (ignore the few democrat rhetoric statements he makes).
I think they really thought they would have had the base worn down by now. I think between the money and campaign network he has in place, they thought it was just a matter of time, till everything fell neatly into place. They misunderestimated the stubborness of the conservatives once again... thank God.

“WHY would Carville deign to give pointers to the Republicans???”
Carville’s headline explains it clearly. They are scared xxxxless of Romney. They know how to read the american electorate. We don’t.
Dream on...
If Romney reminded me of Michael Corleone, I’d be greatly relieved. At least then we’d know he was capable of taking out the rival Don. But, the problem is, he reminds me more of Michael’s smarmy brother-in-law Carlos. No real spine. No real loyalty. Pretty much a pretty shill who will fold when the heat’s turned up.
“You know how it goes, you squish one gnat and you gotta deal with another. Your latest nuisance comes in the form of an anti-contraception activist and 18-point loser, Rick Santorum. I’m not here to tell you how to do your job, but you ought to get your hands on a copy of Ricky boy’s book. He’s really hung up on birth control pills, huh? Not to mention, he seems to be pretty down on women having jobs outside of the home”
Typical liberal BS from the once Obama-hating, now-Obama loving hypocrite Carville. Yes Santorum lost a race by 18 pts to Bob Casey Jr, who happens to he a PRO-LIFE democrat who has more in common with the republican party than he does to Carville’s party of child murder and sodomy. He ignores the five other races when Santorum beat the hell out of the liberal democrat he was running against. Like most mentally challenged liberals Carville hates anyone that does not believe in abortion on demand and hates anyone that tries to live their life according to the Gospel of the Lord. Like I have said before, Carville has no credability whatsover. He secretly hates Obama but gets on national TV spouting how great he is now. Ask him why he didn’t do all this cheerleading four years ago for Obama, ask him has he ever used the N-word to describe how he really feels about the “incompetent ward-politician”, as he called Obama four short years ago. After Obama got the nomination from Carville’s boss Hillary Clinton he crawled under a rock for the next year and no one heard a beep from him. I despise hypocrites and James Carville is hypocrite number #1. He’s another one that should should ashamed of himself ever time he presents himself for Holy Communion at the Catholic Church he is a member of. Like Pelosi and the rest of the hypocrites that mock the Lord Jesus Christ with their immoral actions, which go totally against the teachings of Christ our Lord.
MEMO TO: James Carville
SUBJECT: Your Memo
Dear Jimmy;
Boy, I’ve missed that wit of yours. It’s a dim wit, though.
There has to be a psychologist out there willing to take your screed and use it to model what insanity looks like on paper.
That folksy, down-home humor of yours wears pretty thin these days. You can’t put a five dollar bill on a string and troll it through a nut house without getting ten or twelve more Jimmy Carvilles chasing after it.
Well, Hillary sends you her best and thanks you again for your help with her campaign. Maybe you should up your antidepressant intake.
Love and kisses!
Carville’s like Donna Brazile. They tend to see our side more clearly than do the Establishment operatives we have running things.
:-)
ping to post #72; Breitbart DID graduate from Tulane.
Interesting, indeed.
