Retired U.S. Marine Corps officer Oliver North told The Daily Caller that he would like to see former House Speaker Newt Gingrich as commander in chief, saying that another four years of President Barack Obama would be a nightmare.
North told TheDC at the Conservative Political Action Conference that two years ago, when [Gingrich] suggested he might run, he asked for my support. I pledged I would do it, he said. (RELATED: More interviews from CPAC)
Its time for us to hire a commander in chief who doesnt feel necessary to run around the world apologizing for America, said North.
Im deeply concerned that if we dont hire a new commander in chief
we can indeed end up in very, very serious jeopardy in this country, he added.

Another patriot, another REAL conservative.
GO NEWT GO—its about the survival of our country!!
Please Freepmail me to be added to the Ollie North ping list.
Oliver North is nothing short of an American Hero and deserves to have his opinions respected!
Great!
WOO-HOO! We love Ollie North!!!!
No, I meant that Santorum was doing the tail-kicking, not Newt.

Hi Hoosiermama-
Well, I think there are a lot of folks angry w/the GOP and venting about it ...not surprising; we're all angry w/the GOP elitists!
Everyone who has read my posts knows how I feel about Romney; however, criticizing someone’s religion always worries me; because it appears to strike at the very heart of the Constitution and our system of government which I believe in so deeply. (You should understand that I have only known a very few Mormon's personally; and, of those I have known, all appeared to be decent, honest people.)
That said, there are some real “horror story” exposee’s being posted on FR from individuals purporting to have broken free from the Mormon Church.
So, I am both alert and concerned about this potential; however, it is also possible that these posts are not factual or relate only to some extreme faction of the Mormon Church. For instance, I am not a Baptist; however, I have quite a few Baptist friends and I doubt they would want to be characterized as being the same as those jerks in KS who claim to be “Baptists” when they picket the funerals of service members.
So, I am still trying to form an opinion on the Mormon Church and it's policies/values. But whatever opinion I arrive at; it will not make my opinion of Romney any better; and, for me, that is the most significant thing to stay focused upon.
Even if the allegations are true about the Mormon Church; it is always politically dangerous to pursue that type of criticism as most Americans are instinctively sensitive and repelled by any criticism of someone’s religion. In essence, the “knee jerk” factor would not be in favor of those criticizing Romney for his being a member of the Mormon Church.
I think I will order the book from Amazon and see what Ms Ericson has to say.
Take care,
-Geoff

Yes, and mostly for violating the 11th commandment on a minuscule budget and establishing a 'mean' image. I believe that if he had just ignored Mitt and instead campaigned as hard against Obama, Newt would be on top now - and our next president.
Bump!

Thank you for your support!
Yes, he means the unscathed Santorum who hasn’t been subjected to Romney’s slime machine.
Excellent. I really think Newt is the man for out times. He has the experience and the Conservatism needed. Santorum just does not have the experience needed at this time. Rick would make a good Vice President under Newt. GO NEWT GO!
Agreed on the criticism. I'm steering clear(see below):
There's another book I like entitled Mormonism,Mama, and me by Granny Geer. Used to do outreaches at the Brigham Young University in Liae, Oahu, Hi back in the 70's and to be honest yes, Mormonism is a cult( Pearl of Great Price, Doctrines and Covenants and their Book of Mormon "added" to the Bible which the Bible says the curses will be added unto them Rev 22:19 and somewhere I think in Deuteronomy, not going there this AM)
To be honest though, the Mormons going door to door on the North Shore of Oahu and elsewhere were some of the nicest most God fearing folks I met. I'm not a Romney fan at all but I certainly would feel much more comfortable with a Mormon in the WH than a sorta muzzie Black theology divider in there that has proven not just his racism but he hasn't a clue on uniting. The Hx of the Mormon church is an eye opener and has some extremely weird beliefs and being a Messianic Jew I'd be careful and laugh at their old statements they were the lost tribes or Israel, and more. But again, I'll reiterate what so many of my Christian friends have said about devout Mormons one friend saying," hey they might be Mormons but danged if they are good examples of what a Christian should be." I'm not going to bash them though for their beliefs because I don't want to create a sh**storm of a debate I'm not willing to entertain. have fun in your search. It gets real interesting real fast!
The Lemmings shift with the wind. Now they are all swarming Santorum and really dont know why.
