OKLAHOMA CITY (AP) — Republican presidential candidate Rick Santorum on Thursday accused President Barack Obama of actively seeking ways to allow Iran to gain a nuclear weapon and suggested that the administration had betrayed Israel by publicly disclosing what may be a plan to attack the Muslim nation.
Santorum drew connections between the administration's opposition to the Keystone pipeline project, which would bring oil from Canada to U.S. refineries, and American dependency on foreign oil and U.S.-Israel relations.
"We're throwing Israel under the bus because we know we're going to be dependent upon OPEC," Santorum said during a speech in Oklahoma City. "We're going to say, 'Oh, Iran, we don't want you to get a nuclear weapon — wink, wink, nod, nod — go ahead, just give us your oil.' Folks, the president of the United States is selling the economic security of the United States down the river right now."
The U.S. doesn't purchase oil from Iran but its allies do. Pulling Iranian oil from the world market would wreak havoc on oil prices in the U.S. and elsewhere.
Santorum later told CNN that Obama's actions support the view that the president was choosing Iran over Israel. He accused Defense Secretary Leon Panetta of divulging sensitive information about Israel's plans to strike Iran and then invited scorn upon the Jewish state from the rest of the world. ....
Santorum told CNN: "The president fought tooth and nail against putting sanctions on Iran and only capitulated at the end. This is a president who is not standing by our allies, is trying to appease, trying to find a way to allow — clearly to allow Iran to get this nuclear weapon. He's doing absolutely nothing in a consequential way to make sure that they do not get this weapon."

Well, he’s right.
Kudos for Rick for taking it right at Obama in no uncertain terms. At a recent debate, Rick called global warming a “hoax” — something I don’t think Newt or Flips would ever say. And I saw a quote today where Rick characterized environmental opposition to hydraulic fashion as environmental terrorism. He’s saying what needs to be said.
Bingo....from day one, I said Obama’s goals are to reduce the military power of the US...and Israel.
Iran with a bomb will do just that.
Right after Obama was elected in November 2008, his fundraising bundler Jodie Evans of Code Pink visited Iran at the personal invitation of Ahmadinejad after meeting with Mahmoud in New York City in September in between attending exclusive fundraisers with Obama.
He is certainly showing a lack of political acumen in these quotes.
Accusing a POTUS of deliberately aiding and abetting an enemy of the US and it's allies...one that has sworn to eliminate us as well as Israel ...with acquiring the most powerful weapon on earth.
I hate Obama, but I don't think he is assisting Iran in becoming a nuclear armed state, and I'm about as hard-core a national security hawk as exists. Most folks think I'm crazy in that regard.
I think Obama is naive and is trying to woo the Muslims with a "new tone". I also think he is trying to turn our foreign policy from being centered on Western Civilization to a more "global" view.
But to suggest what he did above will eliminate him from this race in a couple of weeks.

I disagee. I think Obama is a Muslim, and I think every move he makes supports the emergence of the caliphate and the destruction of Israel.

A lot of people I know, not politically astute or even knowledgeable, believe this way. Regular people, not inclined to be politically active. They view Obama as an enemy of liberty and prosperity. They have an instinctive American attitude that he is not our friend, nor Israel’s.......

If you do not believe Obama is deliberately aiding and abetting Iran in their Nuclear research, do you believe he is trying to destroy our economy by not signing onto the pipeline, by slowing drilling in the Gulf, by sending money to Brazil so they can sell oil to China, by spending like a fool on Solyndra, and other solar projects, by destroying the greatest health system in the world with Obamacare, by destroying our military with queers and a 100,000 man cutback, and backing the Occupy fools.What about his bailouts and borrowing that is 4 times what Bush borrowed and that was bad enough.

We have several million of his type here in Northern CA. After a while they're easy to spot.
