The Westboro Baptist Church, which has gained infamy for protesting at the funerals of men and women killed in combat, will have a new target on Saturday: the services for two little boys slain by their father.
The church, whose "God hates fags" signs and messages have been seen across the country, intends to be at the funeral of Charlie Powell, 7, and his brother, Braden, 5. Saturday at the Life Center Church in Tacoma.
The boys died Sunday after their father , Josh Powell, blew up their Pierce County home.

It would be nice if the local chapter of Hell’s Angels showed up and “insisted” that these creeps leave the area.

Someone in the area needs to find out what hotel/motel they are staying at.
Then, the morning of the funeral, park a car or two blocking in all the vehicles with Kansas license plates.
When they complain, oops, sorry, can’t find the drivers of the cars and gosh, all the tow-trucks are tied up right now - until after the funeral anyway.

I'm certainly hoping that the people who show up for the military funerals might send a contingent to this one. Trying to make your puny political point at the funeral of two murdered children is utterly despicable.

Yes. This morning, I sent a lib friend, a well-kown musician, an article about traveling with instruments. He always takes at least two guitars. The article informed him that, as long as it would fit in the overhead storage, he could carry it onto the plane. This is the replay that I got;
“What?!?! This is what’s wrong with this country! Obama and his liberal agenda along with the “lame” stream media force this kind of instrument carrying down our throats! I agree. What gets me is that the Phelps Freaks voted for democrats in the past and they've been the ones who supported gay marriage, so why not protest them?

I have a basically agnostic outlook on the subject of religion, not being able to distinguish religion from any other superstition. I respect most faiths but find myself unable to discuss islam with impartiality. Also, I make it a practice to never capitalize islam, allah or the name of that child-raping monster, mohammad. I taught myself Astronomy and have a confident scientific outlook on life. It is clear and beyond doubt to me that Darwin understood a fundamental truth. Those who discount him and evolution simply don't understand that the Bible is not a biology text nor a history text. As an ethical guide it has much to recommend it.
