Mitt Romney says it's been a good night for Rick Santorum, but that he still expects to become the Republican nominee for president.
After losses to Santorum in Missouri's non-binding primary and the Minnesota caucuses -- where he is in third place -- Romney is congratulating the former Pennsylvania senator but continuing to focus on President Barack Obama.
Despite Tuesday's setbacks, Romney says he is ready to lead the Republican Party and is happy to compare his record on leadership to Obama's.

Personally I want to hear Karl Rove, Bay Buchanan, John McCain, Ann Coulter, Sean Hannity and a host of others wet their panties tomorrow on various talking head shows. I would imagine one half of them wont have the nerve to show.

Once Romney has to start spending his own money, he’ll quit. Ultimately, he cares more about having money than being President.
To: Timaeus
It shows you that when Romney doesn’t spend millions to smear the other candidates, he’s not that popular.

I hope his political life is made miserable here on out. Maybe he’ll still get it, but Hillary thought she had it in the bag too.
To: vbmoneyspender
Didn’t he spend a lot of his own dough in 2008?
To: beaversmom
He did a cost-benefit analysis and quit very early in 2008. When push comes to shove, Romney’s a quitter.

I agree. Rove might need “Depends”.

From Fund:
Romney will fail to convince many of them to make that extra effort to get their friends and neighbors to the polls. That could ultimately mean the difference between victory and defeat and for now Romney seems oblivious to that fact.
That's what I see happening. Enthusiasm will definitely be lacking to say the least.

Throw
Laura Ingraham into that crowd, too. She is intrinsically in the tank for Bishop Romney, has been from day ONE, though she does a slight bash of him from time to time to "come off as independent and fair", which is bullshit and I can see right through her tactic. I ain't stupid. Her savaging of Herman Cain (and other non-Mitt candidates, her rudeness for example to Michelle Bachman or Newt Gingrich, etc. etc.) for starters. I guess she sees some kind of government position under a Romney RINO Administration. OR she knows Romney will get the stuffings beat out of him by Obama, so for at least another four years she is guaranteed a pissed off conservative listening audience as she rails daily coast-to-coast on talk radio against King Obama's 2013-2017 excesses --which at the end of the day I think is a lot of conservative talk show hosts' modus operandi--Ingraham being the most blatant about it; it is sheer economics and job security and continuing on the airwaves due to a riled up audience.
I love to see these establishment RINOS twist in the wind. Newt supporters should join us tonight in great celebration for a vanquishing of Mitt Romney and the GOP establishment is an indirect benefit to all of us grassroots conservatives.

I agree, totally.
I liked Laura at one time....but she’s morphed into something I don’t like.
I think tonight could be a real game changer. I think and hope Romney is on the way out.
I have my ups and downs.
Thanks for the good insight.
