Former Democratic congresswoman Kathy Dahlkemper, a Catholic from Erie, Pennsylvania, cast a crucial vote in favor of Obamacare in 2010. She lost her seat that November in part because of her controversial support of Obamacare. But Dahlkemper said recently that she would have never voted for the health care bill had she known that the Department of Health and Human Services would require all private insurers, including Catholic charities and hospitals, to provide free coverage of contraception, sterilization procedures, and the "week-after" pill "ella" that can induce early abortions.

She was actually voted out in 2010 - but NOW she is trying to JUSTIFY her IGNORANCE by saying that she WOULD NOT have voted for it, had she ACTUALLY read the bill?
With ALL of the "Town Hall" meetings around the country [hers included], people were SCREAMING, "Read the bill", and they were IGNORED by Representatives like her ...
We should ignore her rationalizations now ...
Doggone it! Where is the like button?
I read a story about a bishop that did that, once - he said, “Go get your things. You will be on my staff at the monestary. I will let you know when your pennence is done.”
Something like this simply can't be hidden.
Do I hear them digging a hole for the pole and others gathering firewood?
This old'gal is a witch.
She’s a liar. EVerybody knew that NOBODY knew what all was in it. It was a leap off the cliff in the dark.
Worse than a liar, she’s a fool, like all Democrats that are not total ideologues.
She knew that the bill gave the Secretary this authority. Did she think a fanatic like Sebellius would not push it to the limit?
Tell it to your Priest in Confession Kathy, He has to forgive you.
You sold out your religion for a picture with Hillary.
She’s just saying that because this end of the state is so heavily Catholic, Obama may have just ruined any chance she has of ever getting elected Erie County Dog Catcher.
FYI, she is the back-bencher who made the last minute “suggestion” that insurers be forced to carry your kid until age 26. I am sure she would have never voted against seeing her own idea become law.
Hindsight is when you pull your head out your ___ and finally see the truth. This lady is full of it.
It was HER party that insisted on voting on a 2K+ pp bill that no one person had read in entirety.
That Ms. Dahlkemper chose to vote on a bill that neither she nor anyone else had read (much less understood) is NOT an excuse for not knowing what it said.
But her lie goes farther, one suspects that even knowing whas in the bill, she still would have voted for it, making her pre-meditated lie a compound one.
.
This representative walking away from Obamacare makes it easier for the next one to do so, and then the next one after that.
