We all need to pray hard that Obama is not re-elected or such jack boot policies will turn our nation into a virtual police state.

In the forbidden letter, Archbishop Timothy Broglio encouraged Catholics in military congregations to disobey a federal government mandate

Wow, it looks like the Catholic Church might finally be growing a set. In the last few days they have promised civil disobedience, street protests and now they flat out tell Catholic Chaplains to disobey order. Keep this up and I might convert from Southern Baptist!

“Just Wow “

So, if hussein mandates that soldiers bow down and worship himself as the “one” , are the soldiers and chaplains then obligated to do that too?

These chaplains need to render unto Caesar the things that are Caesar’s and unto God the things that are God’s. Since everything is God’s that doesn’t leave much for a government that opposes Him.

Keeping the Beast of Government in the chains so carefully forged by the Founders just became “Page One” with this issue.

As for the weasel wording regarding potential seditious misunderstanding of the Archbishop’s letter, consider this: Officers take an oath to the Constitution, not to just the person dwelling in the White House,.

Obeying the CIC when the CIC issues an order contrary to the Constitution was never part of the oath sworn by the officers.

Here I wish to pose a question to the FR community:
“What, if anything, is obedience to an unconstitutional order a violation of?”

The mask finally falls off completely. You have to admire just what a true believer Obama is to leftist causes, and how radical his determination to push the country that way, even if it might cost him politically. We must welcome Catholics to the fight. This sort of evil authoritarian impulse has never been on display from our Commander In Chief ever. Those who talk “compromise” with such an implacable ideology have to be shamed into answering questions of how little compromising this administration and its allies have done in the past, and how they ran roughshod over laws and traditions whenever they thought they could get away with it (think how they passed their “healthcare reform” without a single Republican vote, against the wishes of the American people, and “deemed” it passed after the Scott Brown victory).

One can only hope if Catholics win on this issue that they will not forget who tried this before they enter the voting booth. Unfortunately too many voters seem to lack long term memories.

In a reasonable world, this would cost someone his job. In this case, BO probably gave the order to squelch this writ from the Catholic bishops.

The general who did this is a Catholic priest!! He must love his job!! Wonder how often he has defied the bishops before?

He is a coward and a traitor.

Obama appointee Muzzled Army Camplains Chaplains and forbade them from reading Catholic Archdiocese Letter

The office of the Chief of Chaplains of the U.S. Army forbade Catholic chaplains from reading, in Sunday masses, a letter, from the Catholic Church’s military archbishop, critical of a controversial Obamacare mandate. The prohibition, which amounts to the head of Roman Catholic military chaplains calling the Obama administration Archbishop un-American, will set the stage for a philosophical conflict [...]

I'm still trying to make heads or tails of this article. But is this any better?

Regards,

Chaplains are Commissioned Officers who do have to follow orders given thru the chain of command. Does not make it right though.
