Pelosi: Planned Parenthood Relationship to Girl Scouts ‘Very Valuable’ By Elizabeth Harrington February 1, 2012
(CNSNews.com) – House Minority Leader Nancy Pelosi (D-Calif.) said Planned Parenthood’s relationship with the Girl Scouts of America is “very valuable,” Wednesday, at a congressional reception to commemorate the 100 year anniversary of the organization for young girls.
Rep. Pelosi was featured at the reception with a group of female government leaders to promote the Girl Scout’s new initiative “To Get Her There,” which seeks to create “gender balanced leadership” in one generation.
After the event CNSNews.com asked Pelosi: “The Girl Scouts has had some ties to Planned Parenthood, do you think that’s a valuable relationship to have working together?”
“The Girl Scouts have relationships with many organizations,” Rep. Pelosi replied.
“And, yes, I think they are all very valuable.”
The Girl Scouts have been linked to the nation’s largest abortion provider in the past. In 2010, a panel sponsored by the Girl Scouts USA at the United Nations Commission featured a Planned Parenthood pamphlet called “Healthy, Happy and Hot," according to published reports.
A portion of the pamphlet read: “Many people think sex is just about vaginal or anal intercourse. But there are lots of different ways to have sex and lots of different types of sex. Sex can include kissing, touching, licking, tickling, sucking and cuddling. Some people like to have aggressive sex, while others like to have soft sex and slow sex with their partners. There is no right or wrong way to have sex. Just have fun, explore and be yourself!”

As a Catholic, I continue to be embarrassed at all the fake Democrat Catholics that populate high positions in our government.
I find it ironic that some of the biggest abortion advocates present some of strongest reasons for (at least) SOME abortions.

They are probably Catholic in the sense that they were “born Catholic”, not that they actually accepted Christ into their lives or have any sort of relationship with him. They are simply CINO (Catholic in name only)

When confronted by little girls who hit me up to buy cookies, I always smile and say “No, thank you.”
What I’m thinking is another story. I’m thinking how I’d like to set their mothers straight on how there is a direct link between the Girl Scouts and Planned Parenthood. And that I’ll NEVER buy no damm cookies from any organization that has ties to baby murderers.
But I just smile and say “No, thank you.”
At least for now....
Girl Scouts does not have “ties” to Planned Parenthood anymore that do an entire body of nonprofit organizations all attending the same conferences and whose membership is all exposed to the same literature and references, which does not transfer to endorsement.
Pelosi again stuck her stupid foot in her stupid mouth. She would have babbled the same answer if asked about Vatican “ties to planned parenthood” by mutual membership in UN organizations, NGO’s and international nonprofits
CNS is on a peculiar vendetta against Girl Scouts.

Haven’t bought any of these high priced and “growing smaller each year” cookies for many years because of this. Disgusting. Anyone and everyone whose daughters are in any way involved in Girl Scouts should be ashamed of themselves.

There is no direct link between Girl Scouts and Planned Parenthood.
Now, maybe there is a direct link between your church (if not Catholic, nuns excepted) and planned parenthood. The Red Cross and planned parenthood. The UN and planned parenthood. The NEA and other teachers unions and the labor and other unions and planned parenthood. The democrat party of the US and planned parenthood. All govt subsidized hospitals and universities and planned parenthood. The federal taxes you pay and planned parenthood.
But why don’t you just set us all “straight” on this direct link with Girl Scouts. I bet you read about it on the internet, huh?

References to family planning resources in books for teens, about teenage health issues? Good luck with purging that.
Abortion is legal in this country and part of any dialogue among teens.
One might say good people talking about it, not ignoring it, is the way to persuade girls to feel free to abhor it.
