I understand all of that... but the REAL problem is that either of those men were able to make it as far as they have. I despise newt... I hate romney with a purple passion. I will vote for newt... I will not vote for romney. Everything else to me is irrelevant.

The one wild card is Trump, who has the money (and access to money) to go it without the RNC’s blessing. I don’t know if he would seriously consider doing it, but the mere threat sure puts him in the King Maker seat.

Negative ads are the only kind there are in politics.

Just because Santorum isn’t in the top two tier, doesn’t make his message any less right. You can’t say that Romney did well in the debate just because he is still ahead in the polls.

Santorum destroyed Romney in the debate and fools still vote for him.

Why Romney won? He spent 17 million dollars in Florida, all of it on negative ads portraying Newt as a monster.

Romney did "well enough" to win the primary. His victory shows that. I do not discount Santorum's message; but he still an also-ran at this point. For what does it profit a man if he wins a TV debate and comes in third in the primary?

I don’t know if this adds anything to our future strategies but I thought I’d mention it: my liberal Jewish friends and relatives have mostly all soured on Obama. They seem almost eager to vote for Romney in the general. He seems to be supportive of their businesses, the economy — and they see Nothing Conservative About Him. And they all hate conservatives, just like the MSM tell them to.

Nah, Romney didn’t do well at all in the debate, but most of the Florida voters weren’t watching. Romney was channeling AL GORE with his sour looks at the other candidates! The debate JUST DIDN’T MATTER because no one was listening. That won’t happen against Obama.

Romney out advertised Gingrich 65-1 on TV ads. That’s how he won. He won the stupid vote.
