RUSH: St. Louis. This is Greg. Great to have you on the program, sir. Hello.
CALLER: Hey, Rush. God bless you, buddy. Been listening to you for a long time, and, like you, I'm an expert at what I do. I've got a painting company, funny story, I have the ability to listen to you at different job sites, particularly residential job sites, and it's a hoot when I'm at a liberal's house painting with Rush Limbaugh on. It drives 'em crazy.
RUSH: I can imagine that. I've heard such stories, guys on ladders with the radio on where the owner can't get to it. The wife, in particular, just goes batty.
CALLER: Yep.
RUSH: Husbands, too. They can't do anything about it other than fire the painter, which they don't want to do.
CALLER: Right. Yeah. It's hysterical. It's really amusing. It's funny. I can almost tell neighborhood by neighborhood, you know, what kind of clientele I have and whether or not I'm gonna drive 'em crazy.
RUSH: How can you do that? How can you tell by neighborhood what kind of clientele you're gonna have?
CALLER: Yeah, well...
RUSH: Okay, you don't want answer, I caught you. The host caught you. Yeah, yeah, yeah, expert painter knows when he's going to a liberal neighborhood or a conservative neighborhood.
CALLER: You can tell.
RUSH: You can tell. Yep. Whether you got a car on concrete blocks in the front yard or not, I know.
CALLER: Yeah, right, right, especially election time when all the signs get put in the front yard, it's even more of a hoot.
RUSH: Yep.
CALLER: But, hey, the reason why I'm calling, you know, you're the guy that I listen to the most, and you're the guy that I get all my information from. I get why you couldn't endorse someone, but, boy, it sure would be helpful for me and your listeners for you, at the end of the day, say, "Here's the guy," because you're the expert, man. You know who's full of it, and you know who's legitimate, and it would be awesome if you would just, you know, come out and say, this is --
RUSH: Ah, see, wait a minute. You say you understand why I don't endorse. In fact, you said you understand why I can't endorse. And then you very sneakily and slyly try get me to endorse. If I tell you who I'm voting for, that's an endorsement. You're trying to tell me I can do that without actually endorsing anybody. Snerdley, I'm gonna tell you something. 'Cause Snerdley's behind this, folks. If I don't shut this down every call is gonna be somebody demanding or trying to pressure me. Snerdley is sitting in there thinking that I can change the outcome of elections if I would just say so. He really believes that.
You and I both know that's absurd, but he believes it. I'm just telling you, you could give me two more hours of this, I'm not gonna tell you. It isn't going to happen, because when this is all over, I am not gonna be in a position where my credibility is such that I can't support whoever the nominee is. 'Cause I am not voting Obama. I'm not supporting Obama. So whoever wins this, I can't sit here and pigeonhole myself in such a way that I don't have credibility supporting whoever the eventual nominee is, because Obama is the end result. I'll tell you right now, I'm not voting Obama. I'm the expert. And that's really all you need to know.

What is quite telling for ansel12, is to suddenly learn that Rush was right in telling us that the second choice preference for Santorum voters is the arch enemy of conservatives, Christians, and the pro-life, anti-gay agenda social conservatives, that backup candidate for Santorum voters is, Mitt Romney.
I doubt God looks favorable on that choice.
Wow, if you think there is confusion about who Cain and Palin support, then I don’t know what to say to you.
Palin and Cain tried to help Newt in Florida, Rush was dampening enthusiasm for Newt.
Florida was the must win for the Romney wing, and Newt was heading to victory there, until the establishment team got it together.
If Newt is ahead I'll vote for Newt. If Rick is ahead I'll vote for Rick.
The Pa Primary is April 24 so my vote is probably not going to mean much.
In 2008 when Romney was behind, we all knew where Rush stood.
In 2012, when Romney is safely ahead, Rush is neutral.
Not exactly the greatest refutation of my observations, that I make as a 24 year Rush listener.
Being a Vietnam era veteran myself, I appreciate the link to Rush's Support the Vets page. I also appreciate the fact that he is giving some of his profits to Vets. I've never heard him mention that fact in his nearly non-stop promotion of his Ice Tea product and it would make sense to mention it -- he might sell more of it! BTW a comment does not automatically equal a 'bitch'.
Do you want to rethink that post?
There is no second choice here when it comes to Gingrich.
Newt is FAR from a perfect Conservative in all terms as is Sanatorium...difference is Newt can win.
You seem to take one segment or portion of what you have head Rush to say as absolute.
I've been trying to tell you he has not over all.
One thing you can count on is that I will not vote the mitten.
Context is essential here, 08 was a different time, different circumstance.
In 2012, when Romney is safely ahead, Rush is neutral.
Have you noticed how much things have changed since then?
We're in a whole new world now, new uncharted territory...desperation if you will.
Why is it so important to you what Rush says or who he endorses?
Good Lord, I have never seen so much acrimony over a man promoting a product that both enriches him self and who conversely gives his profits away to deserving people.
But it's not good enough for you, too freaking bad.
I suggest you do it the same, match what he does, then you can criticize what he's doing.
Pretty soon I expect you'll be advocating that he should be paying his fair share too....
If you listen to Rush in that video, he said what I Posted.
Rush said that Perry voters went to Santorum, which I doubt, and that they didn’t want to go to Newt, then he pointed out that Santorum voters won’t go to Newt either, they will go to Romney.
There is no denying what he was saying, Perry and Santorum voters don’t want Newt, if they have to choose, they will choose Mitt.
I think that was a lie, that Rush knows it was a lie, but it is in keeping with his anti-Newt work.
You call him neutral, that means at best, he is neutral as Romney takes Florida and probably the nomination, Rush knows that Santorum is no threat to Romney. Just as Jim Robinson, and the conservatives here at FR know it.
You not voting for Romney has nothing to do with my points about Rush, and the majority of the Santorum voters (if you agree with about those Santorum voters).
Fair enough, that should also mean you won't be dropping into the Rush threads anymore. Still can't figure out why you dropped in to this one..........Oh well, some folks just have to drop their load somewhere.
Sure about that?
What changed?
In 2008 we were devoted to defeating Romney, (not Rush though).
In 2012 we are devoted to defeating Romney, (not Rush though).
Nothing changed except that this time we have an excellent challenger to Romney.
Why do you listen to Rush if you don’t think that he has any effect on politics? I’m really curious why Romney defeating Newt in the Florida primary doesn’t seem to bother you.
“He has been trying to ride the fence in this election between the Tea Party Conservatives and the establishment RINOs.”
That is because he’s sophisticated about politics, and knows it takes BOTH to actually win elections, gain and exercize political power, rather than mere minority status rhetoric.
Don’t even attempt to bring reason and savvy to this thread!!!
First, he begins by commenting on Michelle Malkin's article, then goes on to give hypothetical analysis.
Go and LISTEN, more importantly HEAR what is he saying.
All to say; these outstanding Conservatives; are not going to go to that place; where they spills the mean beans on Mitt.
Cain; despite his appearance on Fox to discuss his Newt endorsement; all but gave Mitt; a 'runners up' position. And Palin appears to do same. As does. . .Rush.
Have a problem with that. . .
Did you actually read and understand my response to Kaslin?
