The last day before the Florida primary left the contest very much up for grabs between Newt Gingrich and rival Mitt Romney.

Less than 24 hours after a poll taken by Quinnipiac University showed Newt Gingrich trailing Romney by 14 points, a new poll showed late-breaking and heavy movement in favor of the former House Speaker.

According to the InsiderAdvantage poll of 646 likely Republican voters, Gingrich was just five points behind Romney, and the gap was closing.

The Polling agency have to have close numbers to be relevant the next election.

The MSM and republican establishment have been pushing this massive Romney tidal wave of support nonsense and showing these polls that have Romney at +15 or more over Gingrich. I assume that their goal is to suppress voter turnout for Gingrich, but they may have shot themselves in the foot. If Gingrich loses by say 5 points, it will look like a victory and seem like Romney really underperformed expectations.

Remeber how anxious they were to report Santorum’s surge in IA? News of any good polling for Newt has been kept quiet so as not to influence the election. Its the establishment and the media against Newt and the Tea Party.

I strongly suspect this poll and the Insider Advantage commentary about “late breaking movement”(paid for by Newsmax) was rigged/massaged to get site hits.

"poll" not "polls." The only one that has supposedly "tightened" in Florida is the Insider Advantage Poll.
