Have at it y'all !
Hey Florida -- let's show the Nation and all the RINO slugs some TeaPower today !
This one oughta be good for a couple thousand !
( oy, my poor ping page ! )
I hope it doesn’t end up as bad as Drudge is reporting right now.
I can’t believe Romney would get that large a percent of the vote.
That would be more than the other 3 candidates combined.
If Romney wins I predict many will lash out and blame it on the media, RNC, Rush or whoever they can conveniently scapegoat. Conservatives as a group have no one to blame but themselves - collectively that is. Here you have Newt and Santorum splitting the conservative vote in a state chock full of NE liberal snow birds. Romney will easily take Florida. And the reason is because two conservative candidates are nore interested in their own power than uniting against Romney. Not necessarily blaming them either. That is what primaries are about - let the best man/woman win etc. But blaming everyone else is a cop out when it is simple math that will allow Romney to win Florida. Doesn't matter how Florida goes. Santorum should get the hell out and support Newt and Newt should fight all the way to the convention. It ain't over until its over - except in the case of Florida -- Florida has been 'over'.
Not happy about living in Florida right now.....
Been listening to Rush since ‘94 ..... turned him off today. Just couldn’t listen any more.
FOX NEWS HAS NUMBERS UP!!!!! THE POLLS ARE NOT CLOSED!!! They are doing it again!
Trying to suppress the vote! Unbelievable!
I’m just about with you, ma’am.
where are you watching?
Not after tonight.
Dittos my FRiend.
No, these numbers are mail ballots and early voting by personal appearance from each oucnty.
Maybe the Pensacola results will lift Newt.
Makes me SO mad that people are once again being snowed by someone who they think is a “moderate”(Please, there is NO such thing, Romney is a progressive liberal!). Romney makes McCain look centrist. I really thought that this time would be different, that Conservatism would finally have a fighting chance, apparently the Republican party has decided to throw Conservatism out the window and vote in a progressive. So I guess when you look at it both parties really have more in common then we want to admit. Romney wont beat Obama, Obama and his cronies are laughing their asses off right now, so disgusted to see what is happening to the country I love so much. Just should make a Conservative party, at least I could vote with my conscience instead of being forced to vote for an Obama clone with an R next to his name
Don’t shoot the messenger! I’m just telling you what CNN has posted. They’ve got nearly 1 million votes tallied so far....48% reporting. In 2008, about 1.9 million total votes were recorded.
FL is not a heavy GOP state. Newt will kick Mitts ass here in Texas, and probably 25 other strong GOP leaning states.
Remember what we were hearing a week ago. No one who doesn’t win South Carolina ever becomes the nominee.
There’s a long way to go.
However, I’m not joining the blame Santorum crowd.
There seems to be a lot of fear and hatred of Gingrich out there which I totally don’t understand and if it continues to grow, we will need Santorum.
Exit Poll: 11% seeking “true conservative” voted for Romney.
Thanks MR.S.
I think your parsing of DL reads in too much cynicism on his part. I think he genuinely sees Santorum as the true conservative, not Newt. I think he’s rigidly applying the formula that one should support the purest conservative in the primary and then suck it up and support whoever the nominee happens to be in the general. Unfortunately in our present circumstances this could very well help Romney get the nomination. But I don’t think this means he’s starting with a desire to see Romney get it. I just think that’s where his adherence to the formula takes him. I would say that he realizes this on some level, and I would guess that he himself isn’t totally comfortabe with the implications of what he’s written. I think he’s being formulaic and inflexible, maybe even a little bit naive, but not cynical. I don’t think DL is an establishment guy or a cynic, but I think he has managed to wedge himself into a position that can look that way from certain angles.
