I've followed this nightmare from the beginning. My heart goes out to all of the Marines and their families who endured the torment of being a political objective.

For all of us who have been supportive of our men and women in uniform I ask that you remember it doesn't end here. Let's NEVER forget that John Murtha gave aid and comfort to our enemies in trying to take the careers and freedom from these Marines.

We owe it to everyone who has served this wonderful country to join the effort to TAKE ACTION and stop the naming of a commissioned ship after John Murtha.

I can’t imagine sending my son off to the USMC, having him go off to Iraq risking his life, and then watching that same outfit prosecute this case against him and his buddies. I have total respect and admiration for Marines, but I have virtually no respect for the USMC brass and Pentagon powers-that-be.

Alas, he did make the right decision for him and his kids. God bless the entire Wuterich family.

Semper Fi Mom, it is obvious that you did something right as a parent to produce this fine Marine. Rank and file Marines support him as do veterans and a sizable proportion of the general population.

What was done to him by the desk jockeys in the Pentagon was unconscionable. Sadly, it is all too frequent that the bureaucrats second-guess the split second decisions made by a combat soldier in good faith.

I hope your son, his wife and children, and all of your family can now proceed with the rest of you lives unimpeded by these ginned-up charges. Thank you and God Bless you!
