After landing in Los Angeles International Airport with his friend Emily Bunting, authorities detained and handcuff Leigh Van Bryan, 26, who was then moved into a guarded cell for 12 hours as a result of the offending tweet.
The Department of Homeland Security (DHS) flagged Bryan as a potential threat after he tweeted out to friends the following message about his Hollywood plans: ‘Free this week, for quick gossip/prep before I go and destroy America’.
Leigh’s interrogation included questions about a tweet that he claims is a quote from hit US comedy Family Guy which read: ‘3 weeks today, we’re totally in LA p****** people off on Hollywood Blvd and diggin’ Marilyn Monroe up.’

My thoughts exactly. They simply were engaging in some humorous and fun-loving play, and threatened no one.

My question is why the authorities were traveling with Emily Bunting. How else could they have landed at LAX with the woman?

Actually, there is no INS and hasn't been one for nearly nine years.
There's so much missing from this story it boggles the mind.
If, as the Withdrawal of application for admission form (show on The Telegraph Site shows, there was a one day look out, it sure wasn't because CBP spends all day looking for tweets from people visiting. More likely, they found it during a search of their computers or smart phones.
Smart money says they were using the Visa Waiver Program to enter as tourists, but it was discovered that they were actually here to work or immigrate.
This is just their non-sense story to try and exact revenge on the entity that caught them.
They need to crack down on everyone who does not belong in our beloved country. Just because I understand why the FBI reacted to this situation does not mean I support illegal immigrants, lol.
Also, I believe at least 2 terrorists, Richard Reid and the Underwear Bomber, were residents of England. Probably the reason the tweets were being monitored.
One of the reasons they are quick to get rid of Irish visitors is their behavior in cities like San Diego. They have created a holy hell in that city. Weird but true.
Deporting legal tourists off their plane is easy but it’s even easier to ignore the millions touristas here illegally.
