Yesterday Tom Delay said “Newt is not a conservative.” This from the guy who left Sugarland, Texas a carpet cleaner and returned a millionaire without holding another job in the private sector. Oh, wait! He did’t return except for his court appearances. But, way to cash in, Tom!

Quite clearly the GOP is irretrievably broken. Seems the moderates among them will sit home if Gingrich gets the nomination, and ditto for the conservatives if it`s Romney.
The Republicans are in desperate need of adult leadership.

As far as I’m concerned, the GOP is a nonentity. It has not represented my standards for many decades. I sometimes have a very difficult time voting for some of their nominees. I’ve voted for the last RINO I will ever vote for.
America has been reduced to a sweet memory for a lack of high standards. I must say it again. High standards come from Almighty God, and were the foundation of this nation. Without God there can be no America!

The quintessential example of establishment angst came Thursday from Bob Dole, the former Senate majority leader and 1996 Republican presidential nominee. Hours before Thursdays GOP debate, he released a letter circulated by Mitt Romneys campaign attacking Gingrich and pleading with Republican voters not to make him the partys nominee. There is much rich history behind that letter. Perhaps Gingrich's classic line labelling Dole "the tax collector for the Welfare State" touched a nerve.

Actually I feel better about Newt’s chances tonight because Dick Morris assured Fox viewers tonight that Romney would win Florida.

Tom DeLay is an ass who claimed there was no more fat to cut from the budget under W. He wouldn’t even allow fellow Republicans to propose other areas, or offsets for Katrina spending. If cut, DeLay bleeds establishment.
