Here are some clues, Ian: Burris took his kids to a gas station so he was probably gone less than half an hour, so the murder had to take place in that time frame (or accidentally when he returned). The cat must have been familiar with the murderer or else he would have run away. It wasn't an ordinary can of spray paint since "LIBERAL" could not have been sprayed on the cat with such precision. Was an airbrush used? If so this must have taken some planning and the murderer (or accidental murderer) was confident of having time on his hands.
Somehow I get the feeling that Mr. Burris will politely but VIGOROUSLY turn down this offer to investigate.

Now we are told of a skinned cat, which in an earlier version had been reportedly recognized by the kids and simply had been described as having stripes or tire tracks on it until the lettering was seen close up.
Would you recognize your pet if you unexpectedly came across it skinned? I’m not so sure I would. The color of a pet’s coat has a lot to do with its recognizability.

I suspect the Vampire Diaries kid might be a closet Republican.

Clueless liberals like Somerhalder haven’t figured out that the LAST thing Jacob Burris wants is a thorough investigation into this case.

Pictures were posted on FR yesterday and the cat most definitely had not been skinned.

If anyone were to kill one of my cats, he had better make out his will and write a suicide note.
There are some things that transcend the need for government.;-)

well that is real convenient that he went with the kids to a gas station. This incident reminds me of the blacks that spray painted their own car with “racial epithets” and then called the cops

I hear ya. I don’t have cats but when I have in the past they were family members just like my dogs.

They should put Lt. Columbo on this case:
"Um, just one more question, Mr. Burris."

Why was the cat outside? Contrary to popular belief, cats do not have to go outdoors. In fact, it’s better for the cat to be indoors. Keeps the animal safe from predators (including humans) plus the are less likely to contract rabies and other illnesses.
I’ve had three cats, all of whom stayed indoors. They have it so good in my house they never wanted to leave.

They had a picture of the cat a few days ago on FR, it was NOT skinned. It was labeled neatly with the word liberal. Myself, I believe this liberal killed his own cat and painted it, in order to make conservatives look bad. It happens over and over again with liberals, nooses, racial signs etc. They almost always turn out to be caused by the person who reported it(I.E. a liberal).
