The entire GOP establishment has unleashed on Newt Gingrich this week, and it looks like it is slowing his momentum in the polls. Almost all of the anti-Newt Gingrich material hitting the media is coming from conservative institutions: National Review, The New York Sun, and the Washington Times. Just look at the Drudge Report from last night and early this morning.:(Snip for graphic) The number one news source for many populist and conservative readers, looks like an anti-Gingrich pinboard. There are twelve anti-Gingrich links leading the site, with video of Gingrich trashing Reagan,

Do you really think that Rush’s audience can’t make up their own minds as to the significance of this information and how it impacts their vote?
Does Rush’s audience really need to be protected from any bad words someone might say about a GOP presidential candidate, just in case they become intellectually overpowered by the mere reading of the sentences?
Sorry. This is getting ridiculous.
Everyone should have known that Newt would go through this type of fire and more. If he can’t walk through, what can be said?
It’s not as though if Drudge doesn’t link to it and Rush doesn’t read it on-air, it doesn’t exist and it has no impact.
Sometimes the only way out is through. And the sooner those who are already all-in for Gingrich figure out what they’ve signed up for, and stop whining about how unfair it is that someone posted a link to a speech Gingrich ACTUALLY MADE, the better.
True but all that just goes to show how much conservatives to not want Romney.
We’ve lost Rush Limbaugh...
We’ve lost the airwaves for Conservatism.
We’ve lost Rush Limbaugh...
We’ve lost the airwaves for Conservatism.
Rush, being a sane individual, keeps and eye out for what is best for Rush. Do not expect Rush to put principle before profit. It is not and never has been, in his nature.
Rush should protect his audience from such information. He should act as though no one is criticizing Newt and no one posted a link to a speech Newt gave on the floor of the Congress where he called President Reagan, the Reagan administration, and Reagan’s foreign police a total failure.
Voters, especially those who listen to Rush, simply can’t handle sorting that type of info out for themselves.
Rush is an idiot and a RINO for not pretending that there’s no opposition to Newt in any quarter. He should be in the tank for Newt, no matter what, and never allow his audience to hear any bad words about Newt, only about the other candidates.

Listened to his first hour and could not quite get his drift or quite figure out what he was driving at.
agree.
agree. ‘cept i don’t own any of his stuff.
And if they're not careful, then enough people like you and me will be sitting on the sidelines and hand the Dem's the House and Senate again as well.
I'm really beginning to wonder if THAT isn't the strategy!
Of course.
It is what it is.
Romney will have to be ready to survive that, just like Gingrich has to pass through fire.
But one of the knocks on Romney is that he’s so bland and boring. So guess what? His dirt is bland and boring, too.
Newt’s dirt — Hell’s Bells, the commercials just write themselves. In fact, why write commercials? The Dems can just show pictures: Newt in front of Freddie Mac, Newt with Pelosi, Newt with Al Sharpton, etc.
What people love about Newt is that he’s colorful. And his dirt is colorful, too. OTOH, the average person eyes will glaze over if someone does a commercial about venture capital firms.
There’s no comparison between colorful dirt and boring dirt. Just the way it is.
I have a sneaking suspicion that Rush’ wife is a Romney supporter. Please tell me I’m wrong.
You know where you can shove that tea, Rush...
You know where you can shove that tea, Rush...
You accidentally pointed out Romney’s fatal flaw. He is bland. He is not a leader. He has no fire in his belly. He’ll roll over to the left at the first opportunity.
If Gingrich cant survive this, how in the world will he prevail over what the Rats are going to throw at him?

He’s dealing with the Rats right now...they’re all from the same cesspool.

What information? Without looking, can you remember any of the “allegations”?
There’s nothing there, except a bunch of PO’d RINOs calling him “another Bill Clinton” or insufficiently Reagaesque. Kind of ironic, doncha think?
Too bad Rush’s audience isn’t as smart as you. They will never figure out that there’s no there there. /s
