RE-ELECT OBAMA: VOTE NEWT!
January 25, 2012To talk with Gingrich supporters is to enter a world where words have no meaning. They denounce Mitt Romney as a candidate being pushed on them by "the Establishment" -- with "the Establishment" defined as anyone who supports Romney or doesn't support Newt.
Gingrich may have spent his entire life in Washington and be so much of an insider that, as Jon Stewart says, "when Washington gets its prostate checked, it tickles [Newt]," but he is deemed the rebellious outsider challenging "the Establishment" -- because, again, "the Establishment" is anyone who opposes Newt.
This is the sort of circular reasoning one normally associates with Democrats, people whom small-town pharmacists refer to as "drug seekers" and Ron Paul supporters.
Newtons claim Romney is a "moderate," and Gingrich the true conservative -- a feat that can be accomplished only by refusing to believe anything Romney says ... and also refusing to believe anything Gingrich says.
-- Romney's one great "flip-flop" is on abortion. (I thought the reason we argued with people about abortion was to try to get them to "flip-flop" on this issue. Sometimes it works!)
Nearly two decades ago, when Romney was trying to defeat champion desecrator of life Sen. Teddy Kennedy, he sought to remove abortion as a campaign issue by declaring that he, too, supported Roe v. Wade.
(Nonetheless, Kennedy ran a campaign commercial against him featuring a Mormon woman complaining that Romney, as a Mormon elder, had pressured her not to have an abortion, but to give the child up for adoption. Are you getting the idea that Massachusetts is different from the rest of America, readers?)
Romney changed his mind on abortion -- not when it was politically advantageous, but when it mattered. As governor of liberal, pro-choice Massachusetts, he vetoed an embryonic stem cell bill and "worked closely" with Massachusetts Citizens for Life. The president of MCL recently issued a statement saying that, "since being elected governor, Mitt Romney has had a consistent commitment to the culture of life." Read More »
Ann who? Irrelevant for at least a year.
REgardless how this plays out you are finished as serious writer on this forum. NRO doesn't use you any more so like Peggy Noonan you'll just drift into the sunset... of irrelevance
I used to advidly support Coulter, but she is becoming increasingly juvenile and a bit deranged. She is exhibiting the exact traits she bashes the liberals for...there is nothing worse than hypocrisy. I can’t wait for her to try and defend Romney’s camp opening talks with the Taliban and out and out admitting they will not appeal Obamacare.
How many books Romney has bought from AC?
Wasilla, AK, unfortunately.
If you’d like to express your dissent from her shrillness most effectively, try posting a negative review of her latest book on amazon: http://www.amazon.com/Demonic-How-Liberal-Endangering-America/dp/0307353486/ref=sr_1_1?s=books&ie=UTF8&qid=1327532930&sr=1-1
Nothing hurts more than a punch in the pocketbook.
Sadly, although all Republican candidates have strengths and weaknesses, none of them are truly that conservative. Romney does have more executive experience than the others; Gingrich is a more capable debater and knows how to say what conservatives want to hear; Santorum is stronger on social issues; and Paul is a solid advocate for individual liberty.
It would be nice if they can all work together based on their strengths. But that is just my pipe dream.
*repeal*
Newt just said he wants a base on the Moon flying an American flag by the end of his second term...what does Ann’s honey-pie have planned?
RE-ELECT OBAMA: VOTE ROMNEY
The drapes don’t match the carpet....
“Romney’s one great “flip-flop” is on abortion.”
And he’s flip-flopped back and forth on that one several times so far. Impossible to say where he’ll be when the music stops.
One great flop?
Has he flopped yet on gun-control or does he still favor banning “dangerous” guns?
Has he flopped yet on appointing liberal judges?
Has he flopped yet on gays in the military or forcing gays on the boy scouts?
Has he flopped yet on socialized healthcare (RomneyCare)?
Has he flopped yet on denying Reagan?
Has he flopped yet on Roe vs Wade is settled law and should be sustained?
Has he flopped yet on his belief that the planet is warming and that man is contributing to it?
Has he flopped yet on believing that Obama taking over GM was a great idea?
Has he flopped yet on setting timetables to withdraw our troops?
I’d say there are many issues that Romney flip-flopped on or that we’re still waiting for the flop.
Let’s face it. The man is a flat out serial liar!!

Har, I posted it right after I posted the thread.
The thread got so many posts so fast it didn’t show up until #16!

I had that same thought when I read her post.
Ann is conveniently forgetting that the anti-Mitt crowd has been around far longer than Newt has been a serious contender.
She also refuses to acknowledge that at least 50% of Newt support comes from the fact that he is NOT Romney.
Ann has jumped the shark. I pay no attention to her now. She’s little different than the other aging women pundits... and becoming just as moderate.
Ann’s true nature came out when she recently called the voters of SC “stupid”.
I bet she doesn’t get any speaking gigs out of the Palmetto State any time soon.
Calling others stupid because they politcally don’t back your guy is so retarded it lost Rick Perry any chance he had (the “heartless” comment).
BTW, Ann is nuts.
Jumped the shark indeed. And since supposedly people at Fox read FR, I’d like to add- FUAC.
