I've lived all around England, every corner of it, from cities to country in the south west where palm tree and nice beaches are and no one hardly knows about it.. Having served in the military and moved around I know a fair bit and I would be more than happy to help you with visits outside of London sorry forgot to add From the lake district to Avon to Warwick castle to the areas around where Shakespeare was born to the blue johns mines to the cotswolds to stonehenge, to Chester, to Bath , Cambridge and Oxford, to lands end and where the knights of King Arthur and the round table. I'd be more than happy to help you and your husband LOL No I ma not a travel agent or get commission but someone who grew up there, born there and moved around there but now over here.

Loved my visit to Warwick Castle and several days at Bath. The peacocks were most interesting because, at the time, I was trying to raise peacocks in Wisconsin. I kept those big birds for about 10 years before they eventually died off, one by one.

Oh, that sounds wonderful. You are very kind. There are so many things I want to see. Very interested in historical sites as well as seeing anything related to the great literary tradition of England.

We want to make the trip within the next 1 or 2 years. Only 2 things holding me back right now: 1) I do not want to fly anywhere right now because of the obnoxiousness of the TSA, and 2) I am a bit nervous about traveling outside of the US right now.

After the Kenyan Infestation is over and we have a president that actually makes terrorists afraid of crossing the US, I will feel more courageous.

The husband has been on business trips to the UK a few times before I met him, but he did not do much sightseeing.
