Reporting from Washington - Like an estranged married couple trying to reignite the spark, lawmakers again will pair off in bipartisan couplets at the president's State of the Union speech on Tuesday - making another show of goodwill after a year of bad blood.
As of Friday more than 160 members of Congress had agreed to mix it up in the House chamber for the Tuesday speech, eschewing the traditional seating chart: Democrats to the left of the rostrum, Republicans on the right.
The spectacle of bipartisan co-mingling at last year's speech was striking. Gone was the visual of half the room rising to applaud the president while the other side sat in disapproval. Instead, observers saw lawmakers jumping to their feet while their seat mates sat still - a somewhat more awkward scene.

How long does anyone think this’ll last after a Republican president is elected? Right, about a nano-second!
Just curious, how do these weird characters appear in the title?

On the other hand, maybe they really have no message and know it. All this does is highlight their vacuity and stupidity.
This is a kindergarten stunt, meant to appeal to shallow American voters who just want everybody to "get along". But all it does is underline what is desperately wrong with the establishment GOP. It is typical of those weak frauds they calls "leaders", Boehner and Cantor.
It is disgusting on display.

Some quotation marks appear this way, the “curly ones” — it usually comes from cut-and-paste, if the text uses the curly looking ones. I usually delete them and replace them with “ (straight ones), which appear as normal quotation marks, but this time I forgot. I did notice it happens to others too. When I use quot marks from my computer, they come out OK.
As to really WHY, I have no idea.
Every Republican that does needs to be thrown out of office!!!
